But the first few cups of coffee were great but then the quality dropped. I returned it and got a higher end machine.

I bought this one on accident; I meant to buy the upgraded version. However, the only difference is that the upgraded version allows you to pull 1 or 2 shots. With this model, you can change the depth of the where th espresso goes (comes with the machine), and you can stop the machine from pulling the shots at any time by switching it off.
