Very good receiver. Has multiple functionality. Also the app is very convenient, you can control it from anywhere in the house

Like other reviewers have stated the volume is a little weak and you need to turn it up pretty far to get decent sound

It’s a great receiver with lots of power. It is a bit on the technical side. Lots to figure out how to use properly.

This was highly recommended buy a friendly Best Buy associate over the Sony I was there to purchase based on my own online research. ...So I took a chance as it was for multi-room audio and not for TV/Video playout. (I know that sounds wierd to most people... but I just wanted a nice audio receiver... but they really don’t have one on the market). I went with this receiver and have the obvious issues one would expect...the somewhat user-friendly menus are only easily controlled if you go a TV. The device display is small and nearly useless for menu settings. ...So that’s fun. I would probably give this a higher rating but it seems to be sooo buggy software-wise. It can get stuck being connected to a device via Bluetooth and refuse to let go. Even if that device is no longer around/connected. That causes me to have to restart it... and not via the power button. It must be unplugged to reset this issue. It also has two mobile apps. One to control the receiver itself and one to play a music library off your phone, etc. Same issues... buggy and if you use the HEOS app to play music and the switching from it to a Bluetooth connection is horrible and frustrating. The app for this is no where near the quality I have on my Sony receiver and it’s downloadable apps in my living room to control audio/video/surround sound. I have had this for 8 months and am already looking for a replacement that peaks my interest. Many times I have wanted to slam this receiver to the ground from frustration of its buggy glitches. That quality is not worth the somewhat middle of the road price. Spend a fraction more and get a lower end Sony and respectfully decline the nice Best Buy associates recommendation.

I wanted to use some tax money to upgrade my AVR, since my current Yamaha one just isn't cutting it anymore. It only has 3 HDCP 2.2 ports and most of my devices support 4K HDR now. I also just purchased some new polk speakers not that long ago and wanted a system with a little more wattage per channel. After much research I decided on the Denon 730H. I was quickly disappointed. The sound quality just wasn't there compared to the Yamaha. It also seemed to lack power, even though it has several hundred more total watts than the Yamaha. Also, the center channel volume would get loud then quiet, then loud again. It was driving me insane. I tried the automatic setup, manual setup, and I played with every setting possible. I could not get the system to perform the way I needed it to. I switched back to my Yamaha and everything is ok again. I am no professional home theater expert, but I have worked with many audio systems before and work in IT. So I certainly should be able to configure an AVR, just like I did with my Yamaha. This unit is going back to BB.

I Love this home theatre system for the price and it practically sets itself up when you go through the setup

This system is great for just a home system. I love the application that can go on my phone or ipad. Easy set up.

Was looking for a new 7.2 CH reciever after the Yamaha went out. So far so good & was happy with the easy setup.

Easy hookup, few wires other the HDMI cables, works great w/cable remote, no need for fancy universal remotes

this receiver does everything you need for a home theatre and more. sounds great too with proper setup!

I really do not like that you need to have the systems plugged up to the TV but the sound is great

As a basic receiver for my living room with a 5 speaker setup this is perfect. Don't expect it to do much more. The one star loss is just due to less flexibility with Zone 2. I'd like to be able to run Zone 2 treble and bass controls but at this price point it just doesn't happen. With HEOS built in as well as support for all the latest 4K technology you'd be hard pressed to find a better entry level unit.

This audio receiver produces great sound and offers a large number channel connections.
