    I bought this receiver because of the reviews. It was easy to set up, had good sound, and a great menu. A day into it, my subwoofer hummed intermittently, and the receiver was very warm after about 30 minutes into movies - I did not push the volume. BB suggested upgrading the sub cable. I did that, and the hum went away, but it still ran very warm after a short time. You could smell it when you walked by. I took it back to BB to exchange, and they said it was because of my speakers. I have all Klipsch; fronts are VF-36's, center is a KC-25, surrounds are KB-15's, and my sub is an R-10SW. They also surmised that I had tweaked the set up to make them over work the amp. Nope. They told me I need to go to Magnolia and spend a lot more to get an amp that can drive my speakers, specifically the fronts. I've had Onkyo and HK amps, with similar power, connected to the same fronts, they kicked butt, and never ran hot. I've read that's Denon's run warm, but this was really warm. Returned it because I figured it would quit after time. I'll do some more research and pick another brand.
