This is a great receiver for the price. Set-up is very easy and it is 4K.

This is a great receiver with awesome sound. The auto setup was pretty cool, but we did need to turn up the bass on the sub-woofers. We love that it can use two sub-woofers. We like a lot of bass. Running our 4K TV through it produces great sound. It just means you have to have the receiver on every-time you watch TV. Well worth it to us.

This is a great AV receiver. We have an external headset and a bluetooth headset that transmits to my hearing aids. The sound is great either with the headsets or our 5.1 speaker system. We bought this to replace our Yamaha 5.1 receiver and the Denon did that perfectly.

The Denon replaces a 25 year old Bose amp and does a good job powering 5 speakers; I ditched my huge subwoofer and run a Polk speaker on the middle channel and get enough bass response. I mainly run TV and CD player or iPod through the system, don't need to turn it up past 60% for clean and loud sound.

Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase. Setup was fairly easy and it's great to finally be able to run everything through a receiver via HDMI. The only downside is there is only 1 USB port (in the front) so installing a device that require USB power (e.g. Chromecast) has to have the cord sticking out the front. Minor inconvenience.

Easy to install a& program. Plenty of power for our surround sound system.

The one problem I have with this receiver, is it is not a dvd/blu-ray player also. I had to purchase a separate player. This system was a replacement for a Samsung system that quit working. Overall, it was easy to set up and hook up my speakers I had with the Samsung system. I am still working on getting nuances down with this system.

This denon system really delivers. I had my house hardwired for a 5.1 surround system and just need a receiver to bring it all to life. I researched a lot of options and decided this was the one for me, and boy was I right. This system is loud, clear and get the house filled with sound.

I wasn’t completely comfortable using this receiver to drive my Klipsch RB 51s & 81s, although the 81s are bi amped with the upper half only being driven by the Denon, I was more than pleasantly surprised, it sounds beautiful. My only complaint is receiving FM signals, they seriously dropped the ball here

Minimalistic. Simple.. Does the job okay. The only way you can stream is through bluetooth. I only wish, I can connet multiple dvices to stream as needed. But, It can only work with one device (phone/ iPod or computer). I know, that's a limitation of bluetooth. but, given a chance, if i could afford 100 bucks more, I'd go for a receiver with WIFI.

Pretty easy setup and like the on screen menus and options when connected up to my LG TV. Also, the mic’d up setup option really does a nice job ensuring you’ve got your sound levels set to maximize the listening experience for your space. Quite pleased with this product, especially at this price point.

This is a good, all purpose receiver, and a good value for this cost. It has Bluetooth, which is easy to connect to my Amazon Dot. I also run TV sound through this receiver. A bit tricky to set up, but Denon customer service was very good to work with (you actually speak to a real person right away).

Great prices and Easy to set up right out of the box

I bought the Denon AVR-S540BT for use in a sound system for a retail store. Sound is good, Bluetooth feature works well. FM tuner is poor, even with a powered external antenna. This unit is probably better suited for use with a TV sound system.
