I am bias. I have been a Denon (pronounced Den Non) fans for years. I think that their high end avr's are #1. Needed a replacement for our weight room sound system and went with the smaller Denon just to be safe. As always, no worries!

I sent this back to Best Buynot not because of quality but because it was not made for use with my 4 Bose speakers. I am looking for other receivers that are compatible with my 4 speakers

My old system die after getting my new tv so I needed to update. Didn’t want to spend a ton of money but wanted something decent. Wasn’t for sure about this unit because of the price but took a chance on it. So far so good, easy hook-up and set up.

I had my original Denon Receiver for over ten years, so I wanted to replaced it with the same type. The Geek Squad Tech came and had my system up and running in no time, love that Total Tech Plan. Thanks.

Great except for issues with video and audio randomly cutting in and out, sometimes for a few seconds at a time. Changed out the HDMI for high quality and no matter what device is used, it still does it. Brand new Apple TV, PS4; doesn't matter.

The only reason for the good rating instead of an excellent rating is just the remote. It is cheap and probably will fall apart sooner than later. But the unit itself is excellent with no problems that I have found yet.

Haven't try it a 5.1 system yet only a 3.1 and stereo connected to a turn table. The only regret is I bought an open box and the only way to set this up is with the remote ( Open boxes dont have remote on Best Buy, be aware)

This receiver works fine, but it seems like it was designed only to work, not with any enjoyment in mind. I hate it. You can connect your phone to use as a remote, but if you do that while playing something else, it automatically switches to bluetooth input. If you like listening to radio, forget it- it'll do presets, but there's no intuitive way to keep track of them. Also doesn't have incremental tuning, so you're stuck with only the stations the receiver can find. It has a feature that puts it to sleep automatically, but not in any smart way, it's just a timer that starts when you turn the unit on. The controls on the front of the unit are annoyingly minimal, so you need to use the remote or the app for a lot of functions. The remote is not particularly intuitive or useful, and the phone app is basically just a touchscreen version of the remote. I know this is just a cheap receiver, built to a pricepoint to fill a spot in the lineup. If you use it just to do one or two things, like watch movies and listen to CDs, it's fine. I guess technically it has a lot of functionality for how cheap it is. I bought it because it fits in a cabinet that I needed it to fit in (I know, stupid parameter). The problem is that the user interface is not at all thoughtful, so all of that supposed functionality is just frustrating to use. If you plan to listen to radio and/or stream music (spotify), keep looking. I'll buy something else soon, it'll either be smarter- as in a wifi-equipped unit- or a vintage receiver.

Works well. It's a little tricky to figure out how to get the proper audio settings working for each input. And the eARC feature is a little tricky. But it seems to be working

Good sound but wish the options were to output sound on tv AND stereo system. Currently it can only output 1 at a time which can be difficult when trying to setup gaming consoles or streaming hardware.

I bought this product because I have four devices with HDMI outputs and my 4K TV only has three outputs. So this works out good for me. Down side is this receiver only has three 4K inputs and two HD inputs.

Purchased this unit as a replacement for my old receiver. I did not have room for a soundbar, so this was a good alternative. Set up was easy (really appreciated the ability to balance the speakers to my exact room specifications).

I haven’t opened the box and installed this receiver just yet, but from what one of my good friends showed me. It’s worth the wait! I am still finishing up all the work in our new and improved X-Men cave.

The build and feel appear to be of high quality. I loved the feature set and was able to connect my TV, PC, and mobile phone to the system. However, in my case I found the following issues: Volume came on only after turning up to 60 (on a 0-100 scale) System repeatedly shut down after less than 2 mins of use System would shut down if I put the sound above 80 Overall sound quality was not as expected Returned the unit for a different brand at just 4 dollars more.

90%! Personally? As you visualize the receiver from the front, I would prefer to have a channel selector on the right hand knob instead of a volume control!

I had an older model and it worked great, but i didn't feel i was getting the most out of my new UHD tv so I upgraded to this new unit and could not be happier !!! Great product

I wanted to upgrade my home theater system for a receiver that had all of the HDMI inputs that I needed. The on TV screen setup was nice to have, although I didn't need it. I didn't realize I needed a self-powered Sub-woofer. That will be my next purchase.

I have not bought a new receiver in 25 years so everything is different now. Receiver sounds good I just think the volume should start at 0 not 40. My old Technics 100x5 was great till it died.

I bought this after searching several receivers, the only reason I didn’t keep it was due to inputs not being compatible or maybe I was a little intimidated lol I would recommend it though

Love this System. Have two of them. Very excellent system for the money . Also would recomend this to my family and friends. Great customer support. Which I used a couple of times and they walked me through every small detail.
