The Denon AVR-S540BT was a welcome addition to my home theater room. This replaced an old Onkyo receiver. The step by step set up directions were complete and easy to follow. The auto setup up to interface with my LG tv and Fios cable remote was welcomed and made the installation complete. I would highly recommend the purchase of this equipment. Can't beat the convenience of installation at the price. Sounds great.

I replaced a Sony BDV-T11 home theater with this Denon system. The unit has 5 HDMI ports for connecting a variety of devices. It has one port for the HDMI out. It does not have an Ethernet port for software updates which are done via software download at the Denon web site and installed via thumb drive or the like via USB port. The sound is good and it puts enough power to feed my speakers and subwoofer at 8 Omh. It is well priced.

Bought this Denon to replace an old Denon before the time everything was hdmi. For an easy upgrade to your older surround sound system this is perfect. Easy on screen set up, easy calibration using the supplied microphone. Didn’t know my system could sound so good. It even calibrated my subwoofer to perfection automatically! If you like 5.2 surround sound, this is a great and inexpensive receiver. I recommend it highly.

Have this set up with the epson projector. The receiver works well and the sound is great. Have had for several months and no issues. The app is ok to use but I guess I like the remote, hate to use the phone for everything. The receiver was easy to set up and the interface guided the whole way through. Using the included mike made the sound set up a breeze. Very pleased with denon so far.

Denon's price was very reasonable. My brother hooked up to 20 year old Infinity floor speakers and it sounded fantastic. I'm not an expert on tech stuff but I am pleased with my purchase plus I redeemed Best Buy Rewards. It is the hub now for all my devices (TV, cable, Raspberry PI, Switch and WII) and the ARC works with my Samsung SMART TV. It met all my expectations.

when arc does not work for a 4k tv and you want 5.1 sound for a pc this is the way to go. i play my original xbox with surround sound using the optical cable. when i'm playing my library of music i change the mode to dual stereo to use both the front and rear speakers and fill my house with music. the nob for input selecting manually is war welcome because i have never had luck with auto input select for hdmi.

Had to replace my existing 9.1 channel receiver and this one does the trick. Easy to set up and produces very accurate sound. So far I've listened to FM radio and played 4K and blue ray discs and listened to LP (vinyl) without any problem. I appreciate (with the CRC) the setup happens automatically; turn on the 4K player and receiver turns on.

This really meets and exceed standard expected. I bought for dedicated movie room. It is truly outstanding piece where I connected all HDMI for cable box, Stick and Blu-ray to. The surround sound blasts like the movie theater from this. It also has the Bluetooth connection so I play music from my phone through the receiver.

Very intuitive and all around easy to use all the way from setup to it sounding like you expected it to. I’m a fan of double sub setup and this unit seems easier to manage than any newer type unit I’ve used since rhe 90’s models of which I have two in service with the Yamaha being a clear winner there. Denon rocks —-get one

I purchased this receiver because I have a home theater system that I was building, and I needed a quality receiver, but I was also on a budget, The speakers for the system that I have require a higher output than what this unit makes, but the whole system works fantastic and has great sound, especially for gaming. The system is easy to setup as long as you have experience measuring and cutting speaker wire.

This is a very nice unit that is easy to use. The Blue Tooth feature is great. I had no issues pairing my I-Pod. The only thing that I did not like was the fact that I had to have it run thru my tv in order to initially set it up. This was because the tv displays the settings. If you just wanted to use this as a source to listen to your I-Pod, it can (and was) be a hassle hooking it to the tv and then disconnecting the tv.

Lots of features and easy set up. Able to link up with blue tooth devices and play music. Hdmi coonections for components as well as traditional options. Fm reception is great, but havent had good luck with am despite antenna hooked up. No hook up option for phono. Nice qualiy look to unit. Have owned about 30 days and very pleased. Powers my Polk TC 50's with great sound.

This receiver can do about anything! The sound is amazing and you can connect just about any device you want to it. Surprisingly, I especially running bluetooth off it, something I didn't think I'd ever do! The instructions are lengthy, but are easy to follow, and very comprehensive...they cover everything! This is a quality piece of electronics!
