    Problem with mode selection

    Annoying mode controls, where it keeps shifting from cable mode to DVD mode, despite selecting cable mode...for no reason i can find..have to do it 2 or 3 times before it stays where i want it. Considering returning it as defective.

    You are not able to setup this receiver without a TV connected. All setup is done via a TV screen which means you will need yet another HDMI cord that is not supplied. Hopefully your TV will have enough HDMI outlets to allow this to work. There is nothing on the outside of the box advising of this nor on Best Buy website. I will be returning this TODAY. It might actually be OK but without an extra TV to setup the receiver I'll never know.

      Hey JimE,


      We are sad to hear about the setup trouble you are experiencing. However, you do not need a TV to set the receiver up if you do not plan to use it with one. You can simply press the BACK button on the remote control to exit the setup assistant and it will allow you to begin using the receiver.

    Bluetooth connects sometimes

    Issues with Bluetooth connection, connects then disconnects every 5 seconds. Sometimes it doesn’t connect at all. Sometimes it connects but doesn’t play. My 2nd Denon with issues. Never again
