Denon-THE DEMON

This was less expensive and so far is working better than the other well known brand.

Disappointed

We didn't need all the bells and whistles as this was replacement for our original Denon when we bought our entertainment system (TV, CD, Blu-Ray, Stereo Speakers). Didn't think it would be so difficult to pair with our Xfinity Remote for access to CBL/STL. Had to get Xfinity out. In addition, we had to replace the Blu Ray we had that actually works with the TV but this new Denon. Now, we can't change between CBL/STL and Blu Ray without resetting the Xfinity. So for multiple puposes not great, probably would be okay for just audio needs.

If your current TV supports HDMI ARC, we recommend connecting your equipment to the TV first, and then using ARC (Audio Return Channel) to connect to the receiver. Additionally, please ensure that HDMI control is enabled on all connected devices.

Denon 5 Channel Receiver

Setup was super easy as well as figuring out all its functions. The automatic speaker setup is very helpful and simple as well. Would definitely recommend this receiver!

Good except for connecting to Sony Bravia on Arc

I had to use the digital optical connection in order to get sound from my speakers.

Great receiver

It was just what I needed. Easy to set up. Works perfectly with my original system. Thank you to Earl at the Plymouth Meeting PA store for his expertise and wonderful customer service.

Nice receiver but Xbox issue unsolved by support

All indicators are that it should work, but Xbox says 120fps at 1080 is all it will do. Used ultra high speed cables, set HDMI port to extended and Xbox and TV are up to date on firmware. There is no firmware update for the receiver. Bypass the receiver and the Xbox says 120fps at 4K is supported, including Dolby Vision. Spent a couple days going back and forth with Denon support but nothing worked. Finally bypassed the receiver and went straight to TV with optical cable back to receiver for audio.
