Terrible receiver

It was a nightmare to get everything connected. And the instructions were a joke. I should have returned this but waited to long. I will be selling it.

Great sound but missing features you might want..

It has DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD but is missing DTS Neural:X, DTS Virtual:X, DTS:X, and Dolby Surround. Obv no Atmos. Went with the S750H.

Several Technical Issues in Short Period of Time

Though it works well when it turns on we have had multiple times where the product won't turn on. Will likely exchange for something else because I do not want to get stuck with a non functioning product.

Great except for one thing . . .

I bought this AVR back on July 27th of this year. To this day, the AVR will not pass HDCP content from any modern Spectrum cable box. So . . . all is good. It's great. Just as long as you never plan on watching tv through it using an HDMI cable. All other devices using an HDMI cable will work fine. Both Spectrum Cable and Denon confirm the HDCP issue, but neither will take responsibility for it. What a nightmare. I recommend you do NOT buy a Denon at this time.

It says it has 150w per channel but is more like 35-50w per channel. For some odd reason I have to keep turning up the volume the longer it is on in order to maintain same level.

For that reason I'm shopping for another credit card. Seems like an "interest" thing to me.

If parts are lost, your screwed for later setup

I have to keep the setup parts stored somewhere just in case I use this product on a different t.v. or if I upgrade. Worst purchase I've made this year.

Prior units were less than perfect for Bluetooth, but this unit barely works at all. The second reason for return is my fault for not noticing, but no Zone 2 for my out door speakers. All prior units had this feature, so assumed this would.....wrong. I can set this up blindfolded, but noticed they improved the process where anybody can do it easily.

Bluetooth setup is poor

DOES NOT WORK WITH ALEXA

Then in August of 2021, it stopped working with Alexa. I called Denon and they said they are working on the problem. Today, 9/22/21, I checked the Denon web page and it says the following. For models with HEOS Built-in Some users experience an error when they ask Alexa to play Amazon Music on a product with HEOS Built-in. While we are working on a fix, you can start music with the HEOS app and other Alexa commands for volume and tracks still work. If you get a repeated “Unable to Play Media” error in the HEOS app, please power cycle the HEOS Built-in device. We apologize for any inconvenience. I bought this receiver because it worked with Alexa. This is very disappointing!
