So when I got the new receiver I turn the volume up on the input and it sounded unbelievable but then I figured out you had to go in the odyssey settings and adjust them settings and it added about 10 dB to my volume it sounds good

You can use it to set up a basic a 5.1 home theater system, it's expandable to 7.2 or 5.2.2 or 5.2 with a 2 speaker zone 2. I found it very easy to attach my speakers and audio components with inputs for more if I decide to add a phonograph or second gaming system. There is an HDMI input on the front which makes it a snap to plug in a temporary device.
