I needed a receiver that allowed fine adjustment of audio delay and this did that well. However the interface seems like something out of a 2005 vehicle sat/nav system. This is true for all of the newer receivers I've used though. The app has potential but limited control over settings, perhaps this will change in the future. Overall the Klipsch seem a little warmer with these which is fine for theatre and I certainly recommend.

Great Entry Level AVR

You can use it to set up a basic a 5.1 home theater system, it's expandable to 7.2 or 5.2.2 or 5.2 with a 2 speaker zone 2. I found it very easy to attach my speakers and audio components with inputs for more if I decide to add a phonograph or second gaming system. There is an HDMI input on the front which makes it a snap to plug in a temporary device.

Had issues with not turning off powered subwoofer when switching to stereo mode for music listening. When in surround the aub stayed on, but music sounded horrible. Instruments were heard very good, but words were not until certain tones of voice in the song or chorus, then you could hear the words.
