Better Receiver Better Price at COSTCO

I got sick and lost track of return date. Was 1 day overdue to return and it was nearly impossible to return.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got thinking it's a Denon got home hooked everything up and couldn't get no bass out of it called waited and finally got to talk to someone he informed me that I got a bad sub went to Best buy bought a sub still no bass waited again to talk to someone and go through all kinds of tests about 2 more hours on the phone to only to find out it was a bad sub port took it back to Best buy traded for a Onkyo 696 and been happy I did best receiver I ever bought

Worse receiver I ever bought

I returned it

I have an Onyko I purchased about 5 years ago...it had more power than this one. I ended up returning without opening the box.

Died in one week

The receiver stopped working after one week. The left front output would not work and the receiver kept shutting down. Setting it up is a mess. I didn't like the receiver while it was working. Swapped it out for a Yamaha - RX-V4A and coulndt be happier. Plugged all speakers and hdmi cables in. Turned on for the first time and sound and picture was working instantly. No clunky set up screen like on the Denon.

Remote feels like it is ready to fall apart right out of the box. Bought in Dec hooked up in April, too bad I cant return this. Should have stuck with Pioneer. Auto EQ setup makes subwoofer way too low. Soon as lockdown is done I am in for a better featured unit

Beware

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My first AVR-S750H came DOA and had to be replaced, the 5 months later there in no video on any of the HDMI ports. I am very disappointed in the quality of this Denon product. I cannot recommend purchasing one. Denon is supposed to be the best. I now have $600 door stop. Lets hope I can get better warranty service. When it worked in it's short life is sounded great, was easy to set up.

Never buy from Best Buy

Make sure you get an extended warranty

Had to pay $80 to ship it back east to be looked at where they had no trouble found. No course of action left except to recycle. Colossal waste of money and time. I will never take a chance on Denon again.

Keep losing sound

RUN FROM BEST BUY INSTALLS!

Posted .We're very sorry for the poor experience. The problem could be poor EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) negotiation between the TV and source when the AVR is in the mix. Try removing the HDMI output cable from the back of the AVR (cable connecting AVR and TV) and see if the audio continues to drop with the cable disconnected. This takes the TV's EDID out of the equation and should give you direction on the root cause of the issue.

No way its 165 watts per channel.... weak sound
