Great product, support from Denon not great.

I love the ease and quality of this receiver. Unfortunately, the firmware update has caused problems and after four-years of great sound I am unable to get the firmware updated and it is no longer provided as a download to be update by USB. I am looking for a replacement receiver.

Loved this receiver while it worked. Started to loose center channel in surround mode....on and off...really strange... then had loud fluttering in the right front speaker only. seems like some hardware is failing only after 4 years. Would expect much better from Denon.

Ive used this receiver daily for the past several years. Sometimes I push it pretty hard with music. Or down low for regular TV. This receiver is excellent for the price point. Extremely easy to set up, comes with calibration mic, runs cool, walk through instructions are on screen, bluetooth is fast and dependable. You can even biwire it if you give up the rear speaker hook ups. The remote is easy to navigate and has a great button lay out. For the price point this thing is the best in its class. With plenty of Crystal clear power. The crossover rolls speakers off smoothly and has more functions than most people will use. The only cons are the remote is not the best quality but not horrible and the front could use a door or dust cover to hide the buttons and extra inputs. While cleaning, its easy to press some of them.

The new Denon AVR-S760H WAS JUST RELEASED FOR SALE ON OCTOBER 2021 and has HDMI 2.1 that works. So do a little research before you buy the S750H that is a 2019 model. Hope that helps you decide.

If you buy this 15 days isnt enough to test it. I recommend if you do intend on keeping it huy the extended warranty. We bought this at amother store paid $349. Took me days to setup. Basically all of the older hdmi devices I tried tomlm use directly on it caused the hdmi arc connection to the tv to fail. So start at first with the hdmi 2.1 ethernet cable directly into your hdmi arc connector on the tv. Get it all working with that single cable. test all of your streaming services that your tv uses. After everything works with single hdmi arc. start adding xbox playstation etc if it fails you may have to connect those devices to the tv hdmi and notmlm use the receiever directly. Even though this worked. Mned worked fine for about a week and didnt work. I found I had to physically unplug tv and receiver to get sound to work again. I thought forget that I am not doing this everytime the sound doesnt come on. I could hear that the phone jack relay wasnr working. I read you should plugin a phono into phone headser jack to get it to work. That didnt work for me had to ujplug but tv and receiver. My friend who has a higher priced denon said his didnt work right either. He found he had to disable cec to get his stuff to work full time. So expect to have to play games to get to work. I returned without disabling cec.

The issue you were experiencing was due to poor EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) negotiation between the TV and sources when an HDMI repeating device (AVR) is in the mix. This type of communication problem is common and can be verified by connecting a different make/model TV to the AVR. A different TV produces different EDID (data) back to the other devices so your result should be different as well. If you find that it is an EDID based negotiation issue, there are a few things you can do.

      1) Report the issue to the TV manufacturer and see if they will alter the way the EDID is presented to the other devices via a firmware update. Some TV manufacturers are willing to do this and some are not.

      2) Install an EDID management device in between the AVR and TV. These devices copy the TV's EDID and use the same data for consistency. Some popular examples of EDID management devices are the Atlona UHD Sync and Key Digital HDFIX22.

      3) Connect the source to the TV directly and use ARC/eARC (Audio Return Channel / Enhanced Audio Return Channel) from the TV so that the audio track will feed from the TV back to the AVR via the already connected HDMI cable. This method bypasses the video repeating process in the AVR so it should provide reliable communication between the devices. denon

Defective out of the box. Rear Channel Speaker output is distorted. UNFORTUNATELY it was a Christmas present that wasn't hooked up until late January. BestBuy, in all it's wisdom changed their standard Holiday return eligibility from Jan 31 to Jan 15, so store wouldn't take it back only 5 days after that window shut (During COVID no less!) Brand new, still had stickers on it. Now it's been at the service center for over a month because Denon service is completely unresponsive.

We're very sorry for the poor experience. If you can provide the service ticket # with us, we can contact the service center it went to and see why it's delayed. If you used Best Buy's regional service, then they would have to provide the status update. denon

Never buy a Denon. I bought one and in less than 5 years it burned up. The protector indicator light kept coming on and shutting down. I finally went on the internet and found it was a very common problem for this brand. Should have stuck with Pioneer
