Got this to replace previous Sony had for many many years. Very easy set up

I finally upgraded from my 24 year old Denon receiver and have loved the upgrade 100%. It was very easy to set up and has performed flawlessly.

This is a really nice unit but I had to return it because it did not pair well with our new SAMSUNG 4K TV. There seems to be a "digital handshake" issue between the SAMSUNG TVs and the DENON Receivers. It disconnects and reconnects the DOLBY Atmos whenever it wants at random. There did not seem to be any fix that anyone knew about so we just had to return it and will purchase another brand and try that.

I purchased this receiver back in September. It's good when it works, but it constantly overheats and goes into a thermal protection mode when I either listen to music via airplay or try 4k gaming on my Sony X90J TV (purchased at the same time) and PS4 Pro. I've had an electrician come out and check that the electricity was clean and sufficient, and even had my outlets replaced. I am pushing Martin Logan 40s with a Dynamo sub and ML surrounds, but this receiver should be able to handle 4 Ohms, since there is a setting for this. If I try to use these speakers at 8 Ohms it shuts down even sooner. I never had this issue over the last decade using a regular Pioneer receiver. I read an online article that this model tends to run hot, and I couldn't agree more. Very disappointed, and now I have to go through Denon to try to repair it. I don't see how this receiver could be 8K ready.

There is an ease of set up. The equipment works well with my other existing equipment, however, my TV volume seizes whenever the receiver is on. Overall i like the equipment.

Purchased on-line and it was delivered within 4 hours. Receiver has great sound and interfaced well with Smart TV, DVR, cable box, and yes an old VCR/DVD player

So far so good. Geek Squad connected receiver to already installed surround sound system. They were very helpful. Very happy to have purchased this particular system.

They price matched amazon quickly and without issue. The receiver was exactly what I was looking for and its future proof for whenever I buy an 8k TV.

Replaced my Denon 5300 with this system. Working well and easy setup. Was a little disappointed with the output power thought it would be more powerful but it is working well.

Easy to setup and working like a champ. This is my first venture into an av Receiver and I enjoy it. The online services are a little odd and I haven't been able to set that up yet.

I had a Denon receiver for 18 years ago, and it was time for an upgrade to the new advanced unit. Very good quality product.

This is a great reciever. I replaced an older Denon with this updated model an it certainly drives my Polk 7.1 speakers beyond what my home theater space can handle!

Love it, recommend for ease of use. Love how many speakers I can plug into the receiver making my whole house have surround sound.

Denon - AVR-S960H is a awesome receiver that is super easy to set up. primarily wanted it for the 2nd audio capabilities and it did surpass expectations.

Need a new receiver that has apple airplay2 and sounds great. If you need 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos this is the receiver for you.

Great receiver, thus far. Replaced an older Denon 3802 from 15+ yrs ago. Nice tight sound. Love the calibration process. Hope to get several yrs of enjoyment on this one also...

Very easy setup. I like the microphone auto speaker adjust. Makes tuning in the sweet spot easy. Overall super impressed with the options for the price.

very complicated to set up. works great, sounds terrific, but plan to spend a lot of time getting it set up properly.
