Between the Denon receiver, xfinity router/Comcast cable box and Sony TV, the system automatically comes on randomly. Best Buy Geek Squad came out twice after the install and even swapped the Denon for a new one. Still the problem persists.

The s960h feels a bit cheaper, but knew this going into it. No analog conversion, but thought it would compliment my Optoma Cinemax p2. Opened up, and immediately upgraded firmware. The Denon wouldn't communicate with the projector. Constant grey screens as it attempted different resolutions. I finally got it up and running, and was able to watch a movie. After shutting down, and powering back up, it went through the grey screen cycle again. Not worth troubleshooting every time I want to watch something. May have just been my unit, but sticking with the x2400 for noe.

Posted .That sounds like an EDID based negotiation issue between the projo, AVR and source. Try connecting a different make/model display as a test and see if you get the same results with inconsistent communication.
