Excellent! Very happy with it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had 2 Onkyos in last 10 years; both went bad after a few years. Both brands were easy to connect to devices but setup was simpler with the Denon. I have a mixture of speaker brands: JBL reference, Pioneer and B&O bookshelf and Klipsch center and subwoofer. Balancing all of them with Audyssey worked well. Onkyo had the same speaker balancing system but I could never get it right. The Denon set it up first try. Very happy with it so far.

Very nice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was time to upgrade my 11 year old Yamaha AV receiver - and this Denon really is a big step up. Sound quality is excellent and this one fully supports 3D audio formats like Dolby Atmos®, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X® and DTS Virtual:X™, as well as 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz pass-through and upscaling. Onscreen setup made the setup easy.

Future ready 8K receiver that won't break the bank
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this receiver to be able to split my cable signal to two TVs in my basement, and be able to process 4K signal (had an older Denon model that was supposed to be able to upscale to 4K, but it never worked). I chose this particular model because its able to process up to 8K, so its future ready. So far, so good. I did have to play with the settings on the receiver and my FiOs box to make sure everything works as intended.

Buy a Denon!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I had a Yamaha Rx-V6A for nearly 2 months and had many glitches from sound/video loss and speaker popping so switched it out for this Denon S960H and never looked back. Sounds great and works like you'd expect and want for the money. After the Auddesy calibration you may need some minor tweaks still, but this is def a keeper!!

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This guy replaced a five year old 5.1 Yamaha that wouldn't pass DolbyVision. I've got it set up in 7.1 for home theater and I really love it. I've heard some reports of overheating so I put a pair of small fans behind it in the cabinet as a precaution, but in my setup it has stayed relatively cool. If you have proper powered sub, be sure to set all speakers to small. The sound is just fantastic.

Denon AVR 960H Great RECIEVER!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Denon 960H receiver is one of the best I’ve ever purchased. So good in fact I returned it and got the x3700H. All the connections you could ever want. Great looks, great style and has power. I’m a Denon man here on out. You won’t be disappointed in this receiver but keep in mind, maybe you want to do like I did and get one of the higher models. They are good.

Surprised of quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a month still tweaking it in. As of right now this is preforming better than my Yamaha. With a few more tweaks i would say worth the buy. My speakers feel like they finally woke up. I'm powering it as a 7.1 with Polk monitor 70 series 2 towers, polk t15, bower n wilkins htm61 s2 center, bower n wilkins 686 rears and polk psw505 sub.

Denon
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exceeded my expectations. Had to replace a receiver that shot craps. Was looking at a model that was a little bit cheaper but still a Denon. Glad I spent the extra money for this model. Have always had good luck with Denon. Still have a Denon that I bought in 2005. Technology is out dated of course but works great.

Easy to Use
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set-up thanks to my TotalTech membership that paid for itself. Easy to use, I tell my Alexa to play my music via Amazon Music, Spotify and Apple Music. I can airplay music to it through my phone. Still debating the $849 price tag, although my price match and TotalTech saved me $101 on the price after purchase!

Really happy with this receiver.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't WANT to get a new receiver, but had to once I realized my new 4K TV required a 4K receiver to 'reach it's potential!' Thanks to 'COVID supply-chain' it was really hard to get this receiver, but it was worth the wait. Enjoying it a lot. I'll admit that the 4K difference is marginal compared to Blue Ray, but the receiver is great!

Very good sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit to replace a defective AVR1600. This unit has lots of updated features and very good sound quality. GUI is logical and easy to navigate. My only complaint is that I do not get a volume level graphic on tv screen. Menu comes up but not volume level bar. Probably defective but not a desk breaker.
