What can I say, Denon receivers have been good for a long time. Bought this to replace an older Denon with the same power, so there wasn't any sound improvement. But the older Denon was only 1080P. The improvement in picture quality was very noticeable. Set up was super easy, it found all my video sources and even gave them names after I setup the Wifi.

Great HDMI connection to my Smart TV, surround sound, outdoor speaker and Blu Ray player. Tuner sound is excellent.

The product has a lot more features in my old one and my old one cost three times as much

Great receiver. Had accidental damage to my previous receiver that I bought over the summer. Best Buy Total Tech is well worth the extra money on larger purchases. I they were able to replace the receiver with a new unit. Since it had been 6 months and the model I had was no long available, they price matched the new more upgraded model. Once all hooked up and calibrated it is working great. Total Tech is definitely good for repairs or replacement as well as other great benefits on larger ticket items.

This AV is awesome only reason for a 4/5 is i have Klipsch Bi-Amp speakers and after calling Denon theres no way with setup with 7.1 to drop to 5.1 Bi-Amp setup for front towers. Non the less still awesome setup

Does what it is supposed to. Delivers good sound to the speakers and pretty easy to instal and set up. Only reason it is 4 stars is the Denon app and HEOS app is lacking.

Great head unit plenty of power and has the ability to use a second monitor separate from the main.

Love the unit. Easy to set up after assistants. Sound quality is great. Never bought this brand. But thinking about getting different model number due to rms wattage doesn't match up to speakers

I bought this to replace an old Yamaha receiver that didnt support 4k or Atmos etc. As far as build quality, audio quality and support for video/audio formats this works great. Also, i VERY much appreciate there is an option for the little screen to turn off. There are some annoyances for me though. I can't stand the interface or remote compared to Yamaha's. Its extremely unintuitive and clunky. Settings that were quick and easy to change on my old receiver take multiple button presses or menu searches on this one. The Audyssey MultEQ is pretty useless for me. Do not buy the app because it does not improve it really unless you have a premium model with MultEQXT. I did not like how it applied EQ also. Finally, this is not a good value compared to the S760H. The ONLY difference is that this one has 2 HDMI outputs. Thats it. If i were to start over again, I would demo different models and compare.

Excellent quality equipment. I've been wanting to buy it for a while. Easy installation and use. I highly recommend it.

My first Denon, but I trust the name. It replaces an older Pioneer AV receiver. Set up was a breeze and the sound is excellent. Really like the HEOS app.

The Denon S970H is an outstanding receiver that is user friendly and produces an excellent, quality sound.

Easy nto set up and the quality was great. I also like the fact that the system came with speaker line markings.

I had not upgraded in over 18 years and when I bought a new OLED TV. My 4K DVD Player was not keeping up this due to the HDMI ports not handling 4K or better transmission. This receiver took care of that and no latency on speech and video. All synchronized now. In addition the 7:1 is what I was looking for so it fit the bill. Set up was a breeze and all is controlled with one remote. Great for the price.
