Very easy to set up. Using it in a 7.1 setup. Very pleased with this unit.

Great amplifier. I planned on a Yamaha and went with the Denon. No regrets. I've hardwired with a 5.1 speaker layout with a 2nd zone. Im using SiriusFM, a cd player, turntable and Roku for streaming. It has an internal 8 band graphic equalizer. So far every item looks and sounds great. : )

Perfect addition to my new Klipsch floor standing speakers and center. Have had Onkyo and Yamaha, but this one surpasses both. Outstanding quality. A bit time consuming to set up, but with some patience and previous AVR knowledge got through it. Audessy speaker set up was good though I needed to re tweak some for subwoofer output.

I had a Denon that I thought was superior in every way and when it went down I decided on this AVR-S970H based on reviews here. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with this purchase and the experience getting it from Best Buy, beginning to end it exceeded everything and now I am content with a receiver for years to come.

Bought this to replace an older Denon that had started to die over the last few months and repair shop said it wasn’t worth fixing The new unit does everything my old one did plus a few extras for a decent price. Easy setup and better remote than the old ones and still has good power and clarity. Would definitely recommend

A team member advised me on this unit, I first thought it was a little over kill. After replacing my Harmon Kardon receiver that was 18 years old. This unit really woke up my Klipsch speakers! They never sounded so crisp and alive! I up graded to 5.1.2 ATMOS Surround. This unit handles it well.

I had an old Yamaha receiver. 27 years old!! Finally broke down. My new Denon is amazing. Easy set up. The Best Buy member was extremely knowledgeable. He explained the differences of my old receiver in comparison of today’s technology. I have purchased all of my entertainment equipment from Best Buy for many years. Next will be a new 8k TV!

Its a very good product, easy to use great quaility

Good unit, great sound on some older and smaller Klipsh speakers. Volume adjusting is either too fast or too slow depending on button hold down time... tough to find a nice middle adjustment speed.
