All the specifications as noted on the best buy website are accurate and works as expected. One of the only downsides, if you’re just upgrading your really old full Home Theater system, you will need to buy an active Subwoofer to meet the specs of the speakers; not a downside for those with a better receiver than an the average Home Theater. Good product and performance overall!!

Posted .Hello. Thank you for submitting your experience with the AVR-S970H. Often, commands from an external network source can be the cause of the symptom you describe with the AVR turning on by itself. The following sequence helps prevent this from happening: Settings > Network > Network Control > Off In Standby (activated).
