Works well and provides 4K for the TV while directing sound to 5.1 speakers and zone 2 speakers. Volume control uing remote is not smooth and has to be clicked up and down. Using zone 2 is easier with HEOS App (iPhone in my case). I have adjusted settings based on on-line manual and other suggestions. Denon customer care is also very helpful.

Compact depth of receiver is excellent to fit inside a TV console with limited depth. The QR code links to Heos is great to access music via streaming and set up was very easy.

Excellent sound and flexible with various input sources. We're using it for 5.1 sound. The two things that I would complain about are (1) the audio setup wizard was a bit too rigid. I had to manually set things for my 5.1 setup. It kept wanting to calibrate 7 speakers in addition to my sub and annoyed me. (2) The volume adjustment is slow...significantly slower than my previous Marantz receiver.

It still works great. I replaced it because it did not have hdmi inputs or outputs. This new Denon is half the weight. It has all the bells and whistles. I still have not figured out how to adjust bass and treble. I hope it is as well made as my last one.

The only concern for me is I believe that I need more power/watts, so deciding whether to upgrade or keep.

I mean nowadays a receiver is just a receiver and they all essentially do the exact same thing, but Denon has been a great purchase thus far so I would recommend it. It is easy to maintain and has every port/outlet you can think of so you can literally connect any device to it--which is a major win for our household.
