Customers highly value the AVR-X2700H's sound quality, ease of use, and straightforward setup process. Many appreciate its powerful performance and consider the price reasonable for the features offered. While some users experienced HDMI connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on the sound and user-friendliness outweighs these concerns. The HEOS app and 8K compatibility are also frequently praised.

I owned a Sony STR-DN1070 before the Denon and I enjoyed it. However, after having gone through both sound calibration processes, the Denon sounds way better. I haven’t tested 8K. I do not own a 8K tv. The only downside I would say is, the menus are a little dated. Denon could at least update the look.

AVR With HDMI 2.1

I was excited about getting this receiver with my new system because of HDMI 2.1 but there appears to be a problem with the new chip so I returned the unit and got my money back and I will just buy a model with good old HDMI 2.0 capabilities that work and upgrade to HDMI 2.1 when I get my next new system 5 to 10 years down the road.

We want to apologize for the negative experience you had with the receiver. Our new lineup of receivers was recently released. Please check out the new AVR-X2800H receiver. It comes equipped with a new OSD GUI, three 8K HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs, and three 4K HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs; if we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. https://support.denon.com/

Bought this to solve the infamous "audio delay" issue between next-gen consoles and Samsung TVs. I replaced an AVR-S700W, and this is the spiritual successor. Sound-wise, drives a total of 13 speakers extremely well! (9 total units, but 4 of them are dual - 2x2-way rear surrounds, 2x2-way side surrounds, 2 stereo floor speakers, center channel, 2 subwoofers, though the second one I think only works for the second zone, I haven't checked to be sure.)
8K input does what it says - full VRR/120Hz 4K (can do 8K at 60Hz if you're lucky enough to have an 8K set), lots of options, Audyssee setup works great, just as it did when I bought the SW700 back in 2014.
There's a little bit of a delay sometimes when switching between sources and video modes, which is slightly annoying, but it really doesn't impact my quality of life (mainly impacts YouTube ads, so, it's fine :)) That's the only con so far, and it's a small one.

Another quality product from Denon. I purchased this AVR AMP to support my 4K streaming devices, 4K Blu-Ray DVD and 4K TV. It powers my 5.1 Bowers & Wilkins speaker system. Incredible sound plus outstanding 4k picture quality. I'm impressed!

I bought this after having installed a 7.2 surround system with the AVR-X3700H for some friends w new Polk speakers and really liked it. Couldn’t quite afford the AVR-X3700H so this was a good alternative!

I have some high end speakers and this little receiver with 95 watts pushes my speakers enough to sound great. Movies are spectacular and music is even better with Pure Direct. I might be upgrading to the next Denon up.

This has been terrible from day one. It turns it self off randomly, turns its self down randomly, changes inputs randomly. We have reset it and another Denon owner over and had them try and help reset it and reinstall it.
Attempted to get service even after we bought the plan from BestBuy and thats not working out
DON'T BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!

Hi GregM, Sorry to learn of the frustration you have encountered with your AVR-X2700H. It is possible the symptom you describe is occuring from external sources - as is often the case with this sort of thing. In an attempt to help correct this issue, deactivation of the CEC (HDMI Control) feature in your AV receiver and it's HDMI connected components could be the solution provider.
