Charming but lacking backlite remotecontrol.

A big disappointment at this pricepoint. Also, I learned that units with serial numbers less than 70,000 have defective HDMI boards, which require a breakout box from Denon to fix.

Posted .Hello, sorry to learn that you are not 100% satisfied. With the addition of HDMI control, please consider using the remote that controls your streaming or primary source. The receiver's volume, power, and inputs may be controlled via HDMI CEC control. Once the receiver is appropriately set up, using the receiver's remote may not be necessary. Regarding the outboard HDMI kit, this was only necessary for X BOX series X as all receiver brands had incompatibility issues with this gaming counsel. This only affected the first run of receivers. I didn't know how good the speakers were until i bought this receiver. They now do things that i didn't know they were capaple of. This receiver made the difference. It is amazing. It's like I bought new speakers along with the new receiver.
