Should have listened to the reviews but wanted to try it out for myself. Physical remote also feels cheap and the app is a bit laggy. I'm returning it for something else, perhaps the RZ50 or Cinema 50.

Go with the Sony ES

So I bought this reciver thinking it being a higher tier reciver and a Denon would not have any issues. WRONG this one has the same issues of the handshake with the HDMI. So this time i'm going with the Sony ES hopefully won't have any more problems.

Posted .Hello Christopher. Sorry to learn of this inconvenience with your AVR-X3800H suffering a defect so soon out of it's box. It's a rare occurrence for this to happen to a Denon AVR, but it's no fun if it happens to us. Hopefully all is well now and you are making the most of your system.

Bad app

I would not recommend buying this unit.

Awful store experience

Store experience was awful in attempting to get a replacement. Finally just got a refund and ordered another one from Amazon.

Incredible Receiver
