Since I bought the extended warranty, took it back to Best Buy. The Geeks didn’t fix it, they sent it to Denon. Denon said they couldn’t replicate the problem, they did a factory reset and sent it back. And it still had the same problems. And neither Geeks or Denon actually worked on it, because all the settings I had made including the “Preferred Name” were all still the same. If they had even done a reset they would all have been erased. So don’t buy a Denon and don’t waste money on the Geek extended warranty!!

After a long wait they were not able to obtain parts and authorized an exchange. Great customer service from Best Buy. I now enjoy excellent performance from this receiver.

After six months the receiver stopped working. No power. No audio. Nothing. Had to ship it to South Florida to their warranty repair vendor at my cost. It was returned and worked a few months. Now the audio volume just goes to nothing and won’t come back up to where set unless you start turning it up more or shake the unit. Definitely not with $2,000+. Worst receiver I’ve ever owned. Skip this receiver.

I was hesitant to replace my 18 year old Sony that works perfectly fine with a Denon but have absolutely no regrets.

I love the ease of set up. The only thing I would improve is the light up of the remote.

It has lots of power and has the more up to date surround programs that sound much better.
