At this price point, all one can amaze at is how they fit all these features and over the top sound quality reproduction.
The entire idea of a micro hi-fi systems is to save space, and the Denon does just that. Its footprint is a little smaller than a piece of paper, so it shouldn’t have a problem fitting into any small space you scrounge up.
There’s an analogue input and two digital optical ones. There’s also a subwoofer output, an aerial connection for FM and DAB radio, plus two pairs of binding posts. The latter accepts bare wire or banana plugs.
Build quality of the buttons have a satisfying click, the volume knob turns with just the right amount of resistance and disc tray slides out without so much as a rattle, yes plays CDs...remember them?
The addition of Bluetooth is a great enhancement to allow users to stream music from their other portable devices...tablets and phones.
The lack of noise and hiss and pureness of the sound is a continuing tribute to Denon quality and engineering. More astounding is how they do this all at this price point.
Currently using it with our basement TV and the sound from the TV never sounded better or clearer even without a subwoofer. This is a keeper.

Audiophiles Rejoice! This Denon Micro System was made for people that want nothing but the best refounding sound. This is the BEST audio system I have ever had in my life having nothing but premium quality to it. Micro system is well built and not a flimsy, Everything to from the knobs to the buttons sit flush with the product. This was attention to detail for something so small and powerful.
Powerful clear sound, STRONG bass, Top Knoch CD player, Bluetooth for the modern era and all while looking really good on the bookshelf there isn't much to ask for out of this product. It does all of these features beyond well and put some of its competitors to shame (I.E BOSE) in every way shape possible. The distortion here is pretty much non-existent leaving you with nothing but loud sound when turned up. Rap, Alternative, Electric, and Jazz all sound fantastic
Setup was also hassle-free following the instructions, Controller has all the buttons needed to use the device as well as having a nice solid feel without feeling cheap. There are a number of inputs on the back, Being a mirco system you are given a decent about of inputs but the standout here might be the two optical inputs. The thing is small and powerful. Worth of being in the home of people who are looking for an all in one without being too flashy (Sony XB line of speakers) in the home, as well as worth wonderfully. Finally, break out those CDs and put them to good use! I love this system!!

True to its name, this is a compact system that does not sacrifice performance for size. This is a great addition to my office where it easily stacks into my bookshelf with a small amount of space and a large amount of sophistication.
I primarily use bluetooth connectivity because of the paid subscriptions I use for music, although I still have a few CD's kicking around that were nice to pop in and listen to without having to use my home theater system. I have also connected my TV to the system using an optical cable. The TV speakers are on the weaker side, so this was nice to give me an added sound boost without getting a sound bar system or something to that nature. The sound quality is top notch for this name brand and also the quality of the speakers that accompany the hi-fi system. Do not expect to fine tune your audio settings to an extreme as this system is somewhat limiting, however there are a few preset/enhanced sound options to make things a little easier for those looking for the quick and easy sound setup.
The entire unit was very easy to get setup and working right out of the box. This is a certainly a great system to add in any room with rich, full sound. Very pleased overall with sound quality and functionality.

Great upgrade to an already great product

The Denon D-41 micro system is a great upgrade to a system that has already won multiple awards and produces some of the greatest sounding Hi-Res sound that you may find. I won't waste too much of your time talking about the specs as you can find them on the manufacture website but rather i'll try to focus on what makes this such a good buy and why it may be right for you.
So out of the box your going to get the main unit/receiver, two speakers, power cable and remote with batteries. The front of the receiver is pretty simplistic in the way of buttons and interface goes. You have a power button, Bluetooth button, volume controls and controls for the CD player. This unit comes equipped with AM/FM function as well as Bluetooth connectivity for all your streaming needs. On the back side you will find your DAB/AM/FM antenna hook up, an analog RCA jack, inputs for the two speakers, two optical jacks, the power port and a sub woofer output. Denon in their latest flagship has done some upgrades that are worth mentioning. They have upgraded their hardware slightly allowing for 30 watt per channel output. They have also implemented Bluetooth connectivity. Whats interesting about this feature though is that the Bluetooth feature is always off unless commanded on by pressing the button. While this doesn't seem interesting at first, it is due to the fact that Denon was smart to do this because they have implemented a system to reduce all outside noise in order to give you an optimal Hi-Res sound. Leaving Bluetooth off unless requested helps with reducing interference. And while on the subject they have implemented tripple noise reduction. What this does is it reduces all feedback noise that may be picked up through the power cable, audio wires or volume. Denon really wanted to make sure that you were able to hear the music in all its entirety with little to no outside interference. What i can say is that they really did a good job at this as you will be able to tell in the sound quality.
Lets talk sound quality and function. The sound quality is superb to say the least. This is a Hi-Fi system that holds no punches. So what does the sound quality sound like exactly? Imagine being at a symphony front row seat and your the only one in the amphitheater, that's what it sounds like. All your mids and highs come in crystal clear with vocals that are so crisp you feel as if the singer is singing the song in the same room as you. Now this is not a punchy system so if your looking for big bass or deep sounds then you will need to get yourself a sub and hook it up via the sub output. What makes this so impressive is the amount of sound and volume you get out of such a small unit. You get big stero sound without all the bulky hardware and big speakers to clutter up your room. This is an ideal set up for a small apartment space or if you just don't want to take up a lot of room in your home. Streaming across Bluetooth sounds great just as well. Their is very little noticeable sound quality difference between Bluetooth or streaming directly. Bluetooth has a decent range but don't expect to be able to walk too far away. I was able to get about 20 feet out before i started to notice some connection issues. Now with crystal clear sound like this i found that the best use for this for me was gonna be to hook up to my T.V. for gaming. The two optical cables made it a breeze to connect and allowed to immerse myself into the game i was playing. Now while Hi-Fi systems are used to bring out music the way it was meant to be heard i wanted to see what it could do on my T.V. while playing a game. Man i was greatly impressed on the sound quality. While i was playing Call of Duty i could hear the whirling of bullets so crystal clear that it helped give me a deeper immersion as if i was actually there at the battle scene. Now while the bass isn't the loudest I've heard that was fine for me because the sound was so clear and clean that i was able to make out distant noises that i had not previously noticed before. The sound quality while streaming movies was just as good however this is one area where i would need to get a sub woofer. When i was streaming movies the quality was very good and almost made me feel as if i were a a movie theater however the lack of a hard hitting bass was not enough for me to really get in to it. While tanks rolled by or cars exploded it just didn't seem to hit as hard as i would of liked it but that's ok with me because this was not its primary design. All in all this is an awesome system that puts out quality unlike anything i've heard. My only true issue i had was wishing there were more outputs to be able to hook up multiple speakers. However this is a system that you will not be disappointed with.

Great sound and not a big footprint. Worth it! We didn't know if it would be "too small" to be any good, but it actually sounds great. The antenna is a little bulky, but it works well and we get great reception. Still have to figure out some of the other features, but that's more out of putting off the work of it than it being too complicated to operate.

It was time to upgrade my current receiver and speaker system which I had been utilizing for the last couple of years. Enter the very compact Denon RCD M41. I was immediately impressed with the overall compactness and quality of the CD/Receiver. The receiver is weighty (in a good way) and feels rock solid. No way this unit will vibrate off your shelving when playing. The CD mechanism has a quality feel and does not give you that flimsy or cheap feel. I believe the Denon will stand the test of time. The Denon speakers are compact and are a good match when coupled with the small sized receiver. The unit as a whole looks great and is a very welcomed addition.
The sound from the speakers you may ask? Very decent sounding. They will easily fill a room with concert level decibels, and overall the speakers have a very natural balance of both bass and treble. The speakers do not sound tinny. These compact speakers easily generated enough sound to fill my living/dining room (dimensions are 40 feet by 26 feet) and was very pleasing to listen to. The receiver quickly paired with my iPhone 7 plus, and I was able to bluetooth music through the Denon. You should have no problems with the pairing process. Super easy.
What makes this product really pleasant is that it can be operated via the supplied remote control, or by manually using the buttons on the receiver. This is the first stereo product that this household owns which can be operated from your couch. This is a very nice touch. Make room on your table for yet another remote.
For those enthusiasts that have a turntable and those long playing (LP) records (I personally have over 500 albums), you are unable to plug your turntable RCA plugs into this receiver, meaning your out of luck. Denon does not offer turntable inputs, which translates into not being able to play my LP's. The consumer will have to decide up whether or not this is a deal-breaker for them, but I would imagine that most people have CD collections instead of LP albums.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Denon RCD M41. The overall sound quality will satisfy most consumers. If you're an average consumer looking for a decent compact space saving system look no further. You should be quite happy with this product. This Denon product is on my recommended list.
