Cheaply made turntable

Pickup experience was fantastic. I also had BestBuy price match this product from another competitor which made me quite happy. Unfortunately this product was defective right out of the box. Initial observations of the product: Cheap feeling controls, internal mechanisms which were visible when platter was removed were made from cheap plastic gears. To me plastic gears don’t have a long life expectancy. I feel that for the price of this product the gear mechanism could have been made with steel or aluminum gears. The stylus and cartridge have an angular bend to them which is fine, however if you try and replace it with a quality cartridge that is not angular in nature (such as a Shure V15 Type III) it will not make contact with the turntable. I hope users have a better experience than I did with this product.

Soon discovered this is a common occurrence if you do not have a counter-weighted stylus arm. Got this on sale and new albums which had a "warble" on my cheaper turntable now sound incredible! The set-up instructions take a couple readings as it seems they are a cheap translation.
