These earbuds are fantastic with adjusting music that suits your ears, awesome sound quality, and a good balance sound profile. They fit securely in my ears although it hurt to wear they on the first day. But, that goes away after wearing them for a few days. Good for vocals, bass, orchestra, rock, and jazz. These headphones can get very loud if you want so be careful.

Not Fit For Market

I was so excited to get these and try them out; afterall, I've used Denon / Marantz receivers and speakers for over a decade with success. Unfortunately, the PerL Pro's are terrible in terms of fitting them to your ears, setting them up in the app, and definitely in terms of performance. Denon is very late to market with these truly-wireless earbuds, so time should have been taken to get it RFT (Right First Time). These are neither fit to be on the market nor worthy of the Denon name. Too little, too late.
Open up the box to get the different size tips and pull out the plastic bag they were in (see pic). At this price point, it's a miss. Among many other misses. The silicone tips have circular holes to fit over the tips of the buds. Unfortunately the bud tips are oval. Conceptually, it's easy to pinch the silicone tips and place them over the oval tips of the buds but it isn't easy when there is little silicone to grasp, and I need to push them over the lip of the bud tip to stay in place...and they don't, even when you think you have it, the the silicone tip flies 3 feet away. There are also 2-3 different sizes of wings for a custom fit.
The wings do nothing due to poor fit; I'm not certain what ears they are made for. You are supposed to hold the earbuds, put them in, and rotate them, but when you rotate, it doesn't 'catch' anything, and you end up starting/stopping your music five times.
After an hour of trying all combinations, nothing worked to acceptably seal my ear with the bud. Which is in turn unfortunate, because a good seal is needed during earbud settup, as the app / earbuds 'map' your ear canal / hearing; see the pictures. The error in the pic about poor seal happened a few times, which will cause anyone's blood to boil, knowing that the mapping of ear canal / hearing is like 1-2 minutes long. To be able to finish settup and listen to music, I pushed the earbuds into my ears to make a seal. That colored circular pink/purple 'mapping' looks fancy, but it is meaningless, as a description of colors and mapping is not given.
Regarding mapping, you can select 'Default' or 'Personalized'. By all means go through the mapping, because the 'Default' setting results in a 'tinny' sound with no feeling in the music.
Everytime I put them away and re-connected them, I had to go through a 20 second search for the earbuds, and many times, I needed to go into BT settings and select them, to get them to re-connect.
You finally get them fitted, set up, connected, and mapped, at which point any positive experience was totally over for me. That was solidified when I listened to music...vocals and especially base were terrible. Nothing but popping and crackling. I understand about the size of the drivers, but several competitors can handle base, one at about half the cost of the Denon PerL Pro's. If the earbuds produced impeccable sound, it barely justifies the settup and mapping process. So these are a total Fail for Denon.
The charging is fast via USB Type-C. But the case is poorly designed. The case is relatively small, and the earbuds are held in by a magnet. However, the earbuds are impossible to get out of the case because the magnets are strong and you need a screwdriver of long nail to place into the compartment to get them out.

Hello, thank you for your valuable feedback. We are sorry to learn the earbuds did not meet your needs. While there may be a few users whose ear shape and size fall outside the parameters of the provided multiple-fitment adaptors, we have found that the specifications are a comfortable fit for most users. A good fit will maximize AAT (Adaptive Acoustic Technology™). As to your note about removing the earbuds from their case, the snug fit is by design. The case also charges the earbuds; a tight connection ensures a good charge. I will share your feedback with our development team, as we always look to improve our customers' experience.

I am giving the earbuds four stars although I was not satisfied and returned them. The build quality is excellent. The tap controls worked well and were very customizable. I got a good seal with two of the different tips. But, of course, one buys these for the sound. It was easy to create a couple of different profiles with the auto correction feature. I just was not blown away by the result. I might have given them a longer trial but what ended it for me was when I used them on a walk. Something strange happened where I felt that I heard the movement of my legs. Which was very disconcerting and distracting. I should have just been hearing the music in a quiet space.

The Denon Pearl Pro sounds outstanding when you configure it to your own listening needs. Right out of the box, they sound worse than any average earbuds, it's that bad. So they expect me to accept that by using their ear/listening software, they improve 100 %. Don't buy it; it gives you a bad sound out of the box, and you'll believe anything once it gets to premium levels. Once adjusted, they surpass Bose, Sony, Technics, JBL, and Beats, and in some of those high brands, it's not even close. Noise Cancelation - average at best, subpar quality built, the materials feel cheap. The packaging is horrible, the replacement earbuds were in a small plastic bag for a premium price point. Are you kidding me? No matter the superior sound stage, I couldn't justify the cheap materials. So I returned them.

These earbuds are really good. I love the build quality. The sound is awesome. I have no issues with the battery life or the connectivity either. I just wish it were easier to change the ear tips (for correct sizing).

excellent sound quality. I read the reviews before purchasing, and they were not wrong. Take your time when setting up the custom EQ's and you'll be rewarded. Best sounding wireless buds I've tried. The fit was a little uncomfortable at first, but I ended up taking the additional silicone ear supports out and it did the trick.

This is a top quality earbud. I tried a lot to find a reason good enough to not give 5 stars, but the sound quality trumps all those. This is my third currently used earbud. I have two more high ends - one with ANC and one without ANC for workouts. Although I won’t use this one for working out even though other reviewers say it’s sturdy enough, this is my otherwise go to headphone. The sound personalization is a game changer tbh. You have to get used to fitting the earbud in perfectly, you will get used to it and the taps.

I have previously owned all three generations of the Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum Bluetooth earbuds. I bought these for my wife to replace her AirPods. The active noise cancellation is really good and the equalizer is a great feature to tweak the sound. She’s extremely happy with these earbuds. She finds them to be a major upgrade over the AirPods.

If I had given a review for this before, this is the latest and most likely the last review for this headphone.
The sound is fantastic BUT, and it is a big one, the connection started to randomly glitch out. It is like listening to a scratched up record. It does not matter which device it is connected to. Every now and then, randomly, the sound cuts off as if this was a cable headphone and the cable was not fully seated. It is SUPER ANNOYING!!!
The case for it does not charge the left earbud. I clean and clean the connectors very very very gently. Does not matter. It does not fully connect. I have to either press on the ear bud into the case or shake the case after closing the lid.
Unfortunately for me these issues have started after the regular return period.
So I dont care how good these sound anymore. There are lots of other headphones out there sound also great. The issues I am having to deal with makes these headphones a failed purchase. I would not recommend.

Just got this yesterday but didn't setup till the next day. It's not as big as people have said. It feels great in the ear. The coin like earbuds makes the touch control easy to use in comparison to other earbuds. The sound quality is amazing. The touch feedback is another added plus.

These are far beyond my AirPod Pros. The options, the sound, and how well they stay in your ears. Save the extra money and purchase these instead of the Apple, Sony, or Bose earbuds. Look at all the reviews and comparisons.
