Great game and a lot of fun to play. However, it is a little easy to beat. Definitely recommend to buy it.

    Doubted product

Let me start with this. I am huge fan of Diablo and Diablo 2 series, with over 100's hours of game play. Hopefully all the fans will pleased with this new release. However there are some doubts. First of all. There is something sketchy about environment, no offence but to it looks cheesy. The darkness of environment and landscapes is faded out. Probably need more details to cover up that cartoonish look. Second is the music, and third is the richness of the loot. I don't know much about it, but I’m hoping it won't fail consumer expectations (D1/D2 fans). Why so much negativity? Well I've been very disappointed in best titles remakes lately. I hope Blizzard will not compromise the quality of the game in order to release it earlier.

This game has been long awaited for many fans. On a game level it delivers, you'll have a lot of memorable hours with friends. Blizzard however is now implementing restrictions in game play in an obvious effort to push people towards their real money online trades which they get a commission from. Shame on you blizzard. Players are forced to play online but then restricted if they try to repetitively play a lucrative area so they can buy items without using real money. Pretty pathetic. I'm planning to return my copy with their 30day return policy (yes even the retail editions, google it)

    Randomness kills this game

    Posted .

The problem with Diablo 3, outside of the issues with always having to be online, is the randomness of everything. Monster abilities are a random combination which can be either impossible to overcome, or are ridiculously easy. Loot is not only random, but the stats on them are random as well. This leads to a necessary reliance upon the auction house in order to overcome long streaks of bad luck. One level 60 character of mine has never seen a legendary item. Rare items are more prevalent, but rarely of any use due to that same randomness. When they do have stats that you're interested in, they're too low of a level to help. So, you go sell it on the auction house and surf through it to find stuff that would be useful. This takes away from the main thing that attracts people to this sort of game: the explosion of loot from the hundreds of monsters you just killed at once. When you know there's barely a chance that any of it will be of any use outside of selling it for gold, it detracts from the entire point of the game. It really comes down to laziness on the part of Blizzard when it came to balancing loot, monsters, and the game in general. Instead of doing any of that, they made everything random and called it a day. Just so very disappointed.

I waited for a decade for diablo 3. I was dissapointed initially during development with some of the screenshots and characters removal from diablo 2 .I was wondering whether it will live up the expectations. But it sure did. Blizzard hit a home run again.Only gripe is its online only and pings will be high if you dont have good connection if you are in countries like india which can ruin the game.

Was expecting Blizzard to make the game more exciting and harder to pass. But instead they made it easier and deleted the ability to do some few things from the last game Diablo 2.

Not worth the $60.00 box price.

I hope this isn't going to be the standard for Blizzard's games with single player modes. Having to connect to the Battle.net services to play the single player compaign is just a bad idea to combat piracy. The story is good, the graphics are "ok", but the game has been dumbed down from D2, and the story line doesn't take long to beat. I played the beta and thought it was something to hold me over until GW2, and I had some best buy bucks saved up to drop the price down so I figured what the heck why not. Definitely not worth $60. Wait for it to drop to $40.00 or less or take a look at Path of Exile #can get in for about 10 bucks#.

    Game Long Overdue

Blizzard initially was to release Diablo 3 in 2006 but was placed on back burner to re-establish a better playing style while working and updating World of Warcraft their winning bread maker. (Honest I don't think Blizzard wanted to put time into D3 ). D3 process took MORE than 5 years just to get to the Beta stage. My expectations is this product won't be as good as WoW and previous Diablo 2 followers will not commit to D3 after Blizz failed to Support the Consumers with the Original series. Only Time will Tell if D3 will make or break.

    Fun but not Diablo 2

I got this hoping it would be something to play for a long time. However, I stopped playing after a couple months because I beat the game. I didn't find hardcore to be as hardcore as Diablo 2 was. Also, XBOX 360 players have better stats on the same exact gear to pacify their need to destroy things in one shot. I don't think I will buy the expansion, but we'll see. I also don't like how it only allows you to play with 4 friends total, and the DRM requires online at all times.

    Wait Until they Fix

If you would like to buy a game you can't even play then buy now and don't wait. Would hold off as you can't even log in to play and since Single Player still uses an Online connection it makes the game disc a coaster for your drink to sit on. For the 45mins I did get to play, the story was good, graphics were just ok (but thats been the case with all the games), and game difficulty wasn't hard at all.

The graphics are amazing! New characters and abilities are always fun to learn and challenging to build. If I play this for ten years like I did with D2, then I'll certainly get my money's worth. :) I REALLY would like the option to play offline. I can't emphasize this enough.

I like the game but they cut out the best part of what D2 had to offer for hard core gamers, developing your own character statistics.

Poor Gameplay; Update 1.03 ruined the game

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

At first, this game was turning out to be a lot of fun; great restart for the Diablo followers but with a different approach. This game every character relies solely on their damage which can be increased by several factors which was a very interesting approach and was fun while it lasted. Recently, Blizzard released a patch 1.03 that lowered every players items that had attack speed by 50% which turned out to DRAMATICALLY decrease each players damage output. With having the inferno difficulty as hard as it already was, it is near impossible at this time without spending real money (which I refuse to do). They do have a real money auction house for players to make real money, but Blizzard takes 40% of the actual money costs. The new patch was specifically for more money in their pockets; they wanted to dramatically decrease everyone's damage and force them to buy items from each other and they would profit from 40% of sales. Total joke of a game. The only question I ask myself now is... how long till they do another update similar to that again? I won't wait around to find out. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

    I want my money back

Having played WOW for several years (I stopped my subscription over a year ago) and knowing Blizzard's dismal record with getting connected when they have a new release or update, I waited until the initial "rush" was over to try the thing out. I'm taking it back to see if I can trade it in or get a refund. The whole experience was a disappointment. The game is nothing more than a cheaped down version of WOW. My biggest complaint is the need to have a constant internet connection to play, even in single payer mode. However the whole experience was a major let down. I played Diablo II from the time it was first released until the discs wore out, if you are a die hard Diablo fan, skip this mess and avoid the let down. In my opinion this is nothing more than a thinly disguised money grab my Blizzard to shore up their diminishing WOW revenues.

Excellent all-around purchase. I have been waiting 12 years for this games release, as I loved D2 immensely. Server issues seem to be slowly clearing up on Blizzards end which is a plus.

    Nothing great about this game.

I have been playing the beta of D3 for a couple months now and have not been impressed by a single thing. I am playing WoW and Skyrim on nearly maxed out settings running 50 fps but the gameplay in D3 is choppy which may just be because it is a beta. The game environment looks fantastic but thats the best I can say for the game. This is just a rehash of D2 there is nothing new at all. Blizz created some of the greatest and most original games ever and then beat them into the ground with expansions and sequals that add nothing to the overall experience, take way to long to release and change only the level cap and setting. Example WoW was a great game. Burning Crusade was just WoW in a firey wasteland. Warcraft was a great game, Starcraft is just Warcraft in space. Starcraft 2 is Starcraft 1 with 1/3 of the single player story line. D3 is D2 in a new box. dont waste your money.
