I have been meaning to do this for awhile and to those that bought the game and have been ripped off by Blizzard, I am sorry I didnot get this posted sooner. This game is online only, and is prone to accounts being taken over by hackers. Blizzard while saying it is the account user's fault will not abide by their own policy to reset the account and will instead ban your account. With it being an online game only, once this is done you may no longer play the game. I was able to play mine for 5 days, took a 2 month trip, returned to find the account had been taken over. When reporting the problem, my account was banned. In the end the hacker stole my account, and Blizzard stole my game. From what I did see of gameplay, the graphics/gameplay are average. I expected more with such a long wait between the games. I hope this saves someone from my experience.

I'm actually not a huge MMORPG kind of guy. I am typically a curmudgeonly hermit who likes to RPG on my own. It seemed like this was a great opportunity for me because the game can be kept on private mode, in which you don't have to worry about anyone else....Long story short. After playing through the trial without a single glitch, I purchased it, and clearly now exist on a "We already got your money" server, which kicks me about every 15 minutes or so. The game is barely playable now, and honestly, it's not like the game in and of itself is really so amazing that it's worth the constant disconnect/reconnect battle.

This game took the already fairly simple design of Diablo 2 and made it incredibly shallow. For character progression you gain additional skills, but at any point you can just switch to a different skill. This game has no sense of consequence to any decision made about the character. If you wonder what the other decision would do, no problem, just go and change it. I play this game with my friends, and that can be fun for a time, but the lack of depth when it comes to character development is appalling.

Fun to play, hard to deal with some of the server issues.

I really looked forward to this game for a long time and I was extremely disappointed. This is a boring, mindless game. There are no RPG elements to this game any longer. They have streamlined everything to its bare boned simplicity, and ruined a good gaming title, Blizzard killed Diablo. Lets put it this way, I have more fun on the games forum than I ever did playing the game.

I had been waiting for this game for years! And I was so excited to get a copy on the very release date... However things did not go as well as I expected. First I could only play for a total of 20 minutes (all together) on the first day. I kept being disconnected from the server. Now it is getting better but this game requires an internet connection at all times. This means that I can forget about it because of my funky shared internet connection. Unfortunately I am afraid I will have to return it. As it does not save automatically I have to restart over and over again when the connection fails...

the game is great. here is some stuff they can do to make it better. able to play offline, states to use, and a ladder none ladder like Diablo II

Great on your first play through, good on your second and you get diminishing returns... Playing through over and over to get better gear to do the same Acts over and over really isn't fun after a while. Making it harder by adding a 0 to the health of a monster and an extra 'special attack' really isn't new content. I understand some people love this, but it's not for everyone. Other than that, nothing that has not been said here already.

ThE game is very fun, but its aggravating that it has such bad lag at times even when only playing single player.

Very time consuming however well worth it! First time in this series and loving it thus far..

I LOVE Diablo 2, and am still playing it, even toady. Make that especially today, as the servers for Diablo 3 are down yet AGAIN. I pre-ordered this and have not been able to play more than an hour today because of server issues. This is what happens when you make it online-only to play, Blizzard - people can't play it when you can't get YOUR side working. Right now I have a $60 drink coaster. DO NOT BUY THIS until Blizzard can get thier act together and offer offline play!

This was a gift. The recipient thought it was great and plays it with friends.

Good game still has a few bugs good online play but game is to shot could use more chapters

Nothing new at all. Blizzard got greedy trying to implement a constant revenue mechanic for D3 as they have for WoW.

enjoy the game after i finally found a video card it was compatabile with. beware there are no requirements shown but over 50 video cards are not compliant with blizzards requirements. very dissapointed with number of video cards that wont work.

The first day they protected their product so much no one could play it cuz the servers crashed. This will definately influence my future Blizzard purchase decisions.

You cant play the game on the release day, due to the server busy. What is the point of releasing the game when the server is not even ready. You do need to connect to the battle net in order to play this game. Blizzard will probably improve its server, but don't expect this will be done in the near future. So you just expect to get server busy code from battle net every time you connect to it. Blizzard, you owe me $60 and about one and half hour of trying to connect to your server! If you have not owned the game, do not buy it. Keep your $60 and spend your $60 on something else.

Having experienced 2 times where battle.net servers went down i have to say that this game sucks. Pure and simple, it doesn't have that great of graphics, its HUD and user interface is...ok. its laggy. you can only play with a few people (3 i believe) at a time, really strange for a Online Only game. if i we're considering buying this game again, i'd go buy a slinky or something that actually works!
