but like they say, better late than never! this movie didnt catch my attention at first, i am not sure why. i bought this because it was on sale so i picked it up. and i have to say this was a great film! now i saw why this movie was a big deal back in the day. others take this as a christmas and well i really don't see it

I was late to the game in seeing this movie for the first time but I must say, it is a nearly perfect action movie. There is very little bulk to the film and it holds up to the hype. I purchased this particular version so that I could really lean into watching the movie every year around Christmas because it's a Christmas movie!

Die Hard is still one of the greatest action films of all time. It stands the test of time due to it's claustrophobic location and fantastic characters and acting. It's never looked or sounded better than it does now on 4K UHD, and is worth the purchase. A must have for any Die Hard or action film fan.

Nothing like a classic movie in 4K. Just because a movie is in 4k, does it mean it's going to look great. But Die Hard was mastered with care and looks fantastic in the format. Can't believe I got it for the price that I did. Anyone with a 4K setup should definitely have this in their collection.

Since somehow Die Hard has been labeled a Christmas movie, I figured it was time to purchase a 4K UHD copy and give it a viewing. I have not seen the movie in many, many years and was very pleased with the image on the 4K disc. Having seem it in theaters when it was released, I wanted to see if 4K could do justice to some of the action shots of the movie and was not disappointed. I definitely recommend the disc as the price is reasonable and the quality of the image makes it a much better experience than streaming or network TV with commercials.

This belongs in any action movie lovers library, and in our house, it's not Christmas until we've watched John McClane save Nakatomi Plaza. This Blu-Ray set makes a 30 year old movie look pretty good. Maybe not eye-popping reference material, but good. Digital copy is nice to have as well. Snagged it for less than $5 bucks around Black Friday. Money well spent.

This movie propelled Bruce Willis to stardom after Moonlighting and created a franchised style market template for film sequels. How could you not like the human elements of the McClain character that doesn't like to fly or the sheer doggedness of the unrelenting will to survive, adapt and overcome the villain. The film only looks dated by costume standards but its still a fun movie to break on those long winter days. Yippee ki yay!!!

Okay, you should know this film, but If you don't this is where it all began for the Die Hard series. Terrorists take over a high-rise tower and Bruce Willis has to do what he can to stop them. Great villain performance by Alan Rickman as well as he steals the show here. Its a classic for a reason.

Whether you sit in the “Die Hard is a Christmas movie” camp or not, there is no denying that it is a great movie that has influenced the action movie genre for the past 30 years. The blu-ray does a fine job of cleaning it up (compared to my VHS copy and DVD). Definitely worth watching. And for what it’s worth, Die Hard IS a Christmas movie, hands down.

Great 4K version. I'm not an expert at 4K masters but this is one of the cleanest 4K's I've seen from these older movies where I ask myself a couple times during the movie if they forgot to remaster or clean up the section of the film. Die Hard has never looked better.

Of course it's a Christmas movie. Not only that, it's the start of a fun series of action movies and the launch of a now iconic action movie star. Not much else to say except the extras on this edition are great as well as the video and audio quality. I highly recommend adding this title to your holiday collection.

What can I say? Yippie Ky AY!! I, like many of you, have watched this over 100 times, Now John is in 4K UHD, and great sound too. This 30th Anniversary remastered edition is a must have for all Bruce fans. Highly Recommended!!!!

Bought this to add to my BluRay collection of my favorite old school movies. Another classic I can watch any time. It still holds up to the test of time. I still like having my favorites on BluRay.

True classic adventure films never fade over time and DIE HARD is the one and yes, it is a Christmas film! The 30th Anniversary edition in the Steelbox makes the perfect gift, so I bought this one for me! Blu-ray brings out the performance and the action as vivid as I saw in the theaters in 1988. Ho, Ho Ho! and “Yippee ki-yay” my friends!

A movie that created an action sub-genre. Underrated and overrated by many. The action pieces, the dialogue, the side-villains (police chief and the reporter) and the main characters make this movie a classic. Enjoyable in 4k, 1080p, 480p. This movie is good in any resolution.

A near and dear film to many, Die Hard has never received the Blu-Ray release it has deserved until now. 20th Century Fox has taken the liberty to re-scan the original film and present this old classic in 4K with HDR and a blistering 5.1 sound track. With such enhancements, it will feel like you've never watched Die Hard until now.

Gave as a gift. Item looks great. I do wish though that the sleeve that covers the case was better cared for by the manufacturer, shipper, and handlers. In general the sleeves on discs can look really cool, but it's not easy to find them from any store without any dents or bends.

This movie set the bar so high that many movies today still can't reach it. Easily one of Bruce Willis' best movies, and still an exciting ride today. This special anniversary release has additional special features not available previously. If you're a fan of this movie, this is the definitive release.

Excellent movie and the 4K this looks better than what I saw in the movie theater. I think there’s also some scenes I don’t remember seeing originally. Now that the kids are older it may be your new Christmas movie to watch.

Amazing classic redone in 4k looks amazing my only issue is i wish they would release the whole Die Hard movies in 4k at the same time. If you like the Die Hard series i hoghly recomend getting this one so the next time you're in Best Buy grab this .movie.
