Great special features and excellent movie overall

The ultimate action movie is here in 4K! The original Die Hard hasn't always had the best track record with image quality on home video but this is by far the best it's ever looked! Some may feel the image looks a little "soft" in places but that's baked into the image based off how it was originally shot. This is an accurate representation of the negative. The audio is the same mix as the previous blu-ray and does this movie from the 1980s justice. I've seen prices on this disc that are an absolutely steal. Go for it! An action fan can never go wrong with Die Hard.

Warning; there are 2 versions of the Die Hard UHD disc. The original version comes with a standard-HD code (not UHD), and even if you contact Fox Digital Support, they'll tell you that's how the product is.... the newer printing comes with a Digital-UHD code. The back jacket of the case has a different UPC-barcode. Newer Fox releases (Predator, Greatest Showman)

A great movie made better in 4k, the sound is very good, however I think the picture quality while good is not up to par for a 4k remaster.

Great move but I gave up on trying to get the digital copy long ago. The price was good enough that i wasn't to concerned about it.

Movie is horribly out of date but still as much fun as you remember. Well on it’s way to being THE classic Christmas movie of all time.

I’m just reviewing this for the points, you guys, because WHY would one of the best Christmas movies ever require a review as inconsequential as mine? It doesn’t, obviously, and if you think it does, then I direct you to the United States Library of Congress, as they deemed it “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and admitted it to the National Film Registry in 2017 for preservation. Cool anniversary packaging, though.

What can I say, Die Hard is just a classic. Enjoyed just as much as when it first air in the movie theaters.

The BEST Christmas movie ever. It is kinda grainy in 4K. I guess that is because it is an old movie.

Despite the peculiarities of the filmstock it was shot on, Die Hard is always a reference standard for me when I upgrade to the next level of graphical revolution. And this 4K release of the film more or less replicates the grainy quality and muted colors of the theatrical release while adding some richness and contrast to a film which can often look flat on video. While not as big of a leap at the transition from DVD to Blu-ray, it is still a worthwhile addition to the 4K library.
