Of course the OEM battery for the 7D Mark II is an LP-E6N. Earlier cameras like the 7D used the LP-E6. After researching this I determined that Canon had to make a slight modification to the battery to conform to a new Japanese regulation, hence the "N" version, but that the non "N" version should work fine. So I felt comfortable buying this when I saw it at Best Buy and read the reviews. I registered the battery to the camera in the settings and it works and reads exactly like the OEM on the Battery Info screen as far as recharge performance and remaining capacity go. The camera recognizes it as the LP-E6 model (as you would expect). As an owner of a 50D since 2009 and rotating 3 batteries (only one OEM), I came to realize that one battery is like the next, is like the next, etc. So as I rotate this battery with the OEM in my 7D Mk II, I really can't tell the difference they are so close. There are so many variable things that can eat up power like Image Stabilization and reviewing/zooming in on images on the LCD, that it's difficult to compare batteries using shutter count. My recommendation would be: don't be afraid to get this battery. And you'll save a chunk of change over buying a Canon battery.

Good cheaper alternative that helped me when I had a prolonged day of work and needed a few more batteries.

I've been extremely impressed with the battery life of the battery for my Canon Mark 5D IV camera. It's long-lasting and performs exceptionally well, allowing me to capture countless shots without needing to constantly swap out batteries. This has been incredibly convenient, especially during long photo shoots or when I'm traveling and don't have easy access to charging. I highly recommend this battery for anyone using a Canon Mark 5D IV - it's a reliable and high-performing option.

I haven't used this battery very much yet but it charged as it should have and works in the camera which is more than I can say for some other third party batteries I have tried. We'll see in the future how well it holds up and only time will tell. I can say that although it's number nine in my battery arsenal I'm going to have it in the camera a lot in the next few months to see where it's going!

I wasn't sure about buying this brand of battery, but it's been reliable and the quality (charge time, battery life after charging, accuracy of dimensions, adaptability to Canon charger, etc.) has been consistent ... all at a price that's significantly lower than Canon originals.

I was shooting a wedding and traveling to Virginia. I wanted to make sure that I had enough power for my two cameras. I bought this item to add to my backup camera batteries and it worked great. It lasted as long as the Canon brand battery, and it is cheaper. Overall, I would say that I may buy a couple more of these for my cameras.

Battery looks similar and fits my Canon 6D just like the original Canon battery that came with my camera. Battery life has been awesome so far. I can shoot for a couple hours and use around half the battery. This is my second purchase. I like to have a couple on hand for backup.

Excellent value when on sale. Lasts about 70% of the time between charges as Canon LP-6n battery does in my 7DM2 when taking and reviewing pics. However only 30% of the price when on sale.
