this is not a very good battery life span is to short

This battery was part of the bundle that came with the Canon SX280HS camera. It is only a little more than half the capacity of the stock Canon Battery. I would not have bought it as an extra battery if it had not been part of the bundle.

This battery needs to be charged entirely way too soon. On my earlier version of this same camera and the prior one to this. I could use the battery for a week or two. Now it's a day or two or less at times.

This battery has much less power than the battery that came with my camara. Better options are available at battery stores.

Very disappointed in battery life. Anytime I go to shoot video the battery will die. Great for photos but sucks for video.

This battery would not hold a charge throughout a day of 100 pictures.

650 mAh is about 60% of the original 1000mAh Canonbattery; hoe dr Best Buy doesn't carry the original or an equivalent.

the replacement battery - even after I attempted to charge it - would not work in my camera. However, Best Buy replaced it when I bruoght it back and that one works perfectly!

Wouldn't hold a charge at all. I plan to return it. Didn't work at all.

backup battery only for a couple hours while primary battery is getting charged. easily drained.

Junk, don't buy. Did not fit charger or camera. Worthless. Canon OEM works perfectly.

It has strong usage, it lasts long time, it charges easy, and is compatible with my digital camera.

This is for my canon SX510. It is compatible but much cheaper than the original one.

This came as part of a package deal when i bought my camera. The battery that came with the camera has excellent battery life so I rarely need to depend on this as a back up. It does not last as long as the one with the camera but it works in a pinch!

I bought this as a spare battery when I bought my Canon Powershot camera. While it recharges quickly with the provided battery charger, it goes through a charge fairly quickly as well. The price was okay, since it was on sale.

I had two batteries because I kept the camera on for 1 1/2 hrs for the first tour then had it on most of the rest of the day shooting family and other things on vacation . Close to the end of the day I had to switch out batteries. Battery lasted a good 10 hours.

I've only had it for a couple of months, so I don't know how it will hold up in the long run, but so far, so good. Each charge is good for a few hundred photos at least. I don't shoot many videos, but those don't seem to drain the battery either.
