When they arrived to install the dishwasher, we ran into an issue where the dishwasher was hardwired and they would not install. When we purchased appliances in the past through Best Buy, the "installation" included any minor upgrades like adding a receptacle. When we spoke to customer service, they confirmed that they used to provide the service, but have changed. They also stated that when purchasing in-store, the representative clearly explains the changes to be made to the home before delivery. I ordered online...where I wasn't notified of the policy change, so they canceled delivery—creating another issue of rescheduling, which, if you reschedule it, could be months out. While I disagree with the way they handled things and the use of the term "installation," it is a necessary part of the process, but not as easy and reliable as it once was. I would use it again, but know there may be some headaches ahead.

The dishwasher installation itself was great. When it finally happened. After waiting 3 weeks for the installation, it was a no-show by the installation plumbers, even though Best Buy kept informing us all day that they were coming. Communicating this issue (that the plumbers didn't show) and rescheduling with BestBuy was a NIGHTMARE. Best Buy's phone people were not good, eg, twice scheduling the "haul-away" to precede the installation. Very long phone waits each time I had to call. Waited another 3 weeks for another installation appointment. These plumbers actually showed up and they did a great job. 5 stars for them. 0 stars for Best Buy.

We have to say that our dishwasher installer was a true pro! We previously had a different service repair guy with 40+ years experience complain to us that he couldn't remove the old dishwasher to see if it could be repaired. No such thing this time! This BestBuy affiliated installer was the best! Came right in and removed the old dishwasher like it was nothing. He was pleasant, but no-nonsense, hard worker that didn't waste time. He was careful with everything, thoroughly cleaned up after himself, and even offered some sound advice/suggestions about another appliance issue he noticed while here. I'd hire this guy in a heartbeat to do any of our appliance installs!

The dishwasher installers were excellent. I watched them the whole time. They were friendly and very careful and professional. They made sure it was level and explained how it worked and made sure it turned on before they left. Also cleaned up the little mess that was made. I am super impressed with the service.
