    Worst experience ever! Bought the dishwasher with free installation. They couldn't install the first time because they would not take out 4 screws for the movable shelf because hey said they were not carpenters. I would have done it myself except I had a broken wrist. They left me without a dishwasher for another 8 days leaving me in quite a bind with a broke wrist. They gave me a "person to call" at Best Buy to resolve the issue and he was not there and would not return my calls. I talked to others there and they said they would leave him a message. I had to take off work again to get it installed. When it was installed it turned out to be the wrong dishwasher. I asked for some compensation of 10% off the dishwasher because of my experience. The guy said he would talk about it with the store and if course never called me again.

    Not very professional, as opposed to the team which installed our refrigerator several weeks ago. Ruined our soap dispenser and dropped a screw into our garbage disposed, Never told us!

    Disappointed with Installation hidden costs

    After paying $160 for installation I got nicked and dimed during the installation, paying $95 to have a valve installed on an existing line. Whether the valve even needed to be installed was questionable. I was also charged $80 ($60 for permit and $20 for convenience fee) for a permit to install my dishwasher. A permit that I, even after repeated requests from Best Buy for a copy of, was never given. It is unclear if the permit was ever actually purchased. I found out after the installation that if I was told that I could get the permit myself at the time of making the installation appointment it would only cost $16.

    Terrible installation causing property damage

    They broke my garbage disposal. Best Buy sent the same installation team out to fix the garbage disposal. They realized it was broke (as I had told the rep on the phone) and they installed the one that I had purchased and had on hand. Unfortunately they could not fully install it because they did not have the right parts. My father finished the install but now the BB Frigidaire disposal is faulty and leaking. This is turning into a huge mess. Now trying to process a damage claim with a BB agent. This mother of two toddlers does not have time to be without a sink and dishwasher. PLEASE HELP BB to speed this process. Currently washing dishes and food in my bathroom sink.

    Damage to kitchen counter during installation

    Nickson Home Services damaged our counter-top during installation weeks ago and has failed to even contact us about it. They have not taken responsibility for their clumsy installation and we are left with a ruined counter that is not easily replaced since it's at least half the length of the kitchen. Best Buy is well aware of the subpar history of this delivery/installation company and continue to foist them on their (we would like to think) valued customers.

    I was surprised that they charge an extra $75 for a foot of hose. I would look external next time for dishwasher install. I found it to be very pricey for 30 minutes work.

    I had a pretty crappy experience with my kitchen appliance installation and haul away. I just recently had to hire a plumber for several hundred dollars to fix a plumbing issue caused by the new water line being installed incorrectly. Our installers also didn't speak any english making this process even more challenging and sad. We love the dishwasher and would recommend to anybody, but if you live in the Monroe-Woodbury, NY area consider alternative install options.

    Never Again

    Installers couldn't install because the Maytag was missing parts. Returned it. Ordered a GE Profile dishwasher. Installed, but doesn't work. Starts out OK but stops after about 15 minutes and starts with alarms. Unable to clear the cycle. Only way to stop the alarm is to open the door or turn off the power. Tried to get Geek Squad appointment to see what's wrong. Spoke to six people in Guatemala who were working from home and couldn't set up an appointment. Won't buy an appliance from Best Buy again. Geek Squad tech service works well on electronics but unfortunately not with appliances. I'm stuck without a dishwasher before Thanksgiving. Thanks Best Buy.

    Installers Required Air Gap

    Brought the unit into the kitchen and hauled away the old one. This was good. However, they would not install it because we did not have an air gap. Our county does not require an air gap, but they would not fully install anyway.

    After a delay in delivery and installation of the dishwasher, and not notifying me until the time passed of the scheduled appointment, the installation took place a week later. Seemed okay until the first use of the dishwasher... Water leaked all over the floor. Likely a hose or drain poorly ir not connected at all. When called to schedule a service appointment to fix the problem. Could only get an appointment for two days later. Poor quality control and recheck of the installation. The third party contractor does not meet expectations.

    the Bosch 100 dishwasher purchase has been a complete debacle.First Best Buy did not deliver the unit for installation but sent the installer and the person to take the old unit. Actual installation was delayed by more than a week. Now it turns out that there is water left in the unit and it shows an error code. The flexible pipe going from the dw to the disposal is in the way of the lazy susan cabinet where it is routed. This was not a problem before the new dw was installed by Best Buy. Best Buy if you are reading this please contact me because the installer needs to come back and ensure that it drains correctly.

    He started his work wearing a mask. Then took it off because he said he was hot while installing the dishwasher. He never replaced it later during periods when he was not on floor working.

    I expected the purchase of the installation and disposal to include removing and disposing of the old dishwasher, as they did with the refrigerator, and the oven, and the microwave. It says nowhere in the purchase documents that I had to have the old one removed before they would do any work. Wow. The whole point of me paying to have Best Buy handle it was so I wouldn’t have to. Well, I got the bill and I got to do the job. Not cool. The unit showed up with two guys and they put it in the house and said, “we don’t remove the old units. We’re only here to install the new one.” Unbelievable.

    My handyman warned me that the installation crew would likely look for any reason not to install the dishwasher. They claimed that the flooring was too high (abt 1 cm raised off the floor) for them to pull the old unit out. Dropped off the new unit and moved on. Meanwhile, my handyman installed it for free in less than an hour. I had a previous experience with appliance installation that was very positive, this was disappointing. I have one more upcoming that will be the deciding factor on my totaltech membership.

    I am not sure if the dishwasher installed last saturday was the right fit. It is tilting out when I am loading it, and it was installed by your person. ALSO, the original dishwasher was larger, there is a space between the new dishwasher and the kitchen cabinet. This was under the advice of the person who came to install the first machine over a month ago. He would not install it, said it would not fit. So we went back to the store and ordered this one. I think he made a big mistake, at my expense. What can Best Buy do to help me out?

    I was very disappointed with this install. The 3rd party company Best Buy uses was not great. They showed up 3 hours late which means I was 3 hours late picking up my child then they didn't wire the dishwasher correctly and told me it didn't work and left with my working dishwasher. I rewired the job they did, and the dishwasher worked great. They could have started a fire in my house with their wiring job. They also scratched my floor which is now more time I have to take off work to get that fixed.

    I recently purchased a Bosch dishwasher for my elderly parents' home. I've been very impressed with the brand and have purchased several Bosch appliances over the years. BB's delivery and installation was, to be kind, incompetent. The unit initially delivered had to be returned because it was damaged. There was a major scratch/gouge across the front panel that should have been noticed before delivery. Because a second unit had to be ordered from a central location, it took a full second week before it was delivered. And then, it was incompetently installed. The water attachment points leaked badly and a lower cabinet panel was not reinstalled. It took several days before BB sent an installation repair crew. I never received even an apology from BB. I will never again buy a major appliance from BB. You have been warned!
