Install guys damaged the dishwasher

Terrible

Terrible install experience with the dishwasher and fridge. Best Buy needs to outsource a better delivery/install company (XPO was terrible) or have better/more oversight on their orders. Even once I spoke to Best Buy customer services to have my fridge installed because the first team refused they sent out a second team a week later that also refused to do so. I finally had to convince them to take it upstairs for me, so I could install the fridge myself. Terrible experience!

I had to wait 3 weeks for the appointment. They showed up at 1:50pm which was 50 minutes after the 9am to 1pm window. No called to let me know they were running late. When they arrived they said they do not do repairs. A couple days passed and no one from Best Buy contacted me and online it showed the service call completed. Awful experience.

Drop off D/W Told installation will be in 3 weeks

Called to see why/when it would be installed and Best Buy rep gave me an Oct 4th date. Unbelievable. Called back 3 times to no avail. D/W sitting in the middle of my tenant's family room. Had to have my contractor install the D/W for an added cost. Called Best Buy to see if they would reimburse or give me a credit for the amount I paid the contractor. Was told "a supervisor would call me back". I'll let you guess if I ever heard from the supervisor. I'm sure the manager at Best Buy's wife wouldn't mind if this happened to her. .

Dishwasher install

The installer also wanted cash. I used a check instead.

Bad installation experience

Then BestBuy subcontracted this to another company, which subcontracted this to yet other people (who barely spoke any English). They took away my old dishwasher and then brought the new one in but refused to install it unless I paid them $100 extra for the "parts" needed for the installation. This is very disappointing. This SHOULD have been included.

I had to contact my Mother's handyman to come the next week and I stall the dishwasher.

Never have them do the installation

Ordered a dishwasher and was told it would be two weeks for an installation. I paid for the installation and waited. I took a day off work just to ensure the installation would go well. Yet, they never showed up. Tried contacting the store, no help. Called the national line and was told another two weeks for an install. Had to pick up the dishwasher myself and paid double to have a plumber to install the dishwasher. Not happy at all.

Customer Service was Horrible

The sales person was phenomenal ! After we left the store it was all down hill. Had to take multiple days off work and hours on the phone to get resolved

Extra charge for electrical plug
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As much of a customer and advocate as I am of Best Buy, they have disappointed me with an extra on the spot charge of $160 to install a wall outlet instead of reusing a 3 year old female electrical drop. The dishwasher would have plugged in all the same, and it was properly grounded. All the installer did was cut the female head of my plug, and installed a small outlet box that served the exact purpose of what I already had. Otherwise, they would not have completed the installation. I will be calling customer service or corporate about this.

Very disappointed!

Initial installation was timely, but the dishwasher was not all plumb. It leaned backward and the lower tray slammed backward with dishes on it. I waited three weeks for the installation team to return to correct the problem and it took a lot of persuasion to get it done correctly. Granted my cabinets were not equidistant from the counter edge, and that presented a problem, but the major issue was that it was not installed level.

I had requested that someone call me 30 minutes prior to delivery and they did not. they did not hook up the hose correct. it was leaking for a week before i noticed. I had to call a plumber.

Took 5 months to install dishwasher

Although it only took 5 months to have the dishwasher installed. We first purchased the dishwasher in August 2022, 4 weeks later the dishwasher was installed however, it did not work. It took anther 4 months to have the second dishwasher installed. Not counting all the promises that were told to me in person and never came to fruition.

Improper Installation and poor service

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The dishwasher was improperly installed, we had a surprise $150 charge for something we were never told about (needing an outlet, the machine can be directly wired but the installer refused to do this), they did not arrive within the window given, and they did not clean up after themselves. We had to uninstall the dishwasher and redo the installers work so that it was properly done, then reinstalled the dishwasher ourselves. This service was pointless and frustrating.

They had knowledge of the product and installed it correctly but failed to clean up the huge mess they created which I feel is how a professional finishes a job.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the dishwasher was unable to be installed at the time of delivery. the installer said he would be back the next day after i bought a longer pipe and he was a no show. the next available appointment was 10 days later. the installer shut off the hot water to the kitchen sink and it wasn't until days later that we figured out how to turn it on. i find it hard to believe that best buy does not have people in the field to trouble shoot problems. we had to hire our own plumber to complete the install. shame on you best buy.

Left with more problems than I started with

Installer who came to my mouse damaged a pipe and caused a leak. They claimed not to be at fault although they said they would “try” to return and fix. Needless to say they never did. To add insult to injury he made the leak worse prior to leaving by messing around with it further. The name/number of the individual installing did not match the one on file at Best Buy, very strange. I started with a Broken dishwasher that needed replacing and now I have a broken sink and an expensive dishwasher that I can’t even use.
