    Poor customer service of 3rd party installers

    Kitchen tile came loose on first installation - asked them to come and fix it. They sent someone who told me he didn't have glue and could just go out and buy. Then my dishwasher stopped working suddenly mid-cycle - i called and asked them to come and see what the issue was and they said it was defective and would need to be replaced. I scheduled a date and they were late and I had to call to ask if they were running late. He said by 2 they would be there and they ran late. I called back and the man in charge said "there are bigger problems in the world right now" Then when they arrived, it turned out that the first installations cable was loose and all they needed to do was secure it.

    Totally not technically worthy. He didn’t even touch my my dishwasher and said he couldn’t fix it

    The geek squad was supposed to show between 8 and 12. They arrived about 1! They left without pushing the bottom of the machine all the way in leaving the front legs higher than the back because it was resting on the tiles. I thought maybe they needed to chip some tile out to make it fit. That was something they were not authorized to do. I understand that. But they wouldn't stick around for me to do it because they had other customers to get to. As if I didn't wait hours for them. They told me the machine was bigger than the one they took out. Not correct. They also tried to convince me that the machine needed to lean back in order to drain. Not correct. After they left, I decided to give it a nice push on the bottom because I knew it was the same size as the one that came out and it went right into place. A perfect fit. I'm glad I didn't start chipping some tile out.

    Installation went well once the installer arrived. All interaction with Best buy prior to that, lasting over 6 weeks, was terrible. We will not purchase another appliance from Best Buy again. Please see what is most likely copious notes taken by one of the 8 callers we talked to during this ordeal. The crux of the issue was “the left hand did not know what the right had was doing.” Between Best Buy, Geek Squad, and a third party installer, this was painful.

    We were VERY disappointed when our Bosch dishwasher was delivered but they were not able to install because they said the power cord was a little too short and the delivery men were not able to install. Now we are stuck with a dishwasher sitting in our dining room. And don’t know where to turn. The reason we paid for installation was because we couldn’t install it ourselves. The delivery men were polite but said they couldn’t complete the job.

    The company that Best Buy contracted to install sent two gentlemen that barely spoke any English and at first told us they wouldn't be able to install the dishwasher. Not once did they explain what they were doing during the installation and had referenced they'd have to "call the boss." Not a good experience.

    We ordered a Whirlpool refrigerator with installation and haul away. When they arrived, they ended up stripping the hot water valve under thew sink. They told my wife that they could only in stall it 9f the water was off but that she probably needed a key. When she told them she had a key and knew where the meter was and how to do it. They then said that they would loose their jobs if they put it in under those conditions. They gave her every excuse why it c ould not be done. So, the unit was not installed and the old one was not hauled away. The installer informed my wife that we would not be charged. We called Roto Rooter who came over in 30 min and fixed the striped valve then put in the the dishwasher. He also hauled the old dishwasher off. To date we have not received a refund. ***BEWARE****

    I would give this 0 starts if I could. I paid for a dishwasher installation. The dishwasher leaked water all over my kitchen floor, during the first wash that was within an hr of installation. I immediately called to get someone out to fix it and spent 3hrs on the phone with best buy and was hung up on twice. After finally speaking to a manager I was told I would get a call back within 2hrs, and of course, no one called back. I had to call, yet again, only to find out I had to wait a week for a repair! I paid extra for the geek squard service, installation service and the dishwasher only to have a dishwasher that doesn't work and had the worst customer service experience. This is the last time I ever purchase anything from best buy.

    Unbelievably bad, I ended up asking them to leave. Worst at home installation of anything I have ever experienced. They were bickering with each other one was yelling and kept shutting himself in my kids bathroom the other one was making remarks about hurting his coworker. There work was horrible and the one was super mad and screaming when I wouldn't take and sign off on the one piece that was damaged by them outside. After they left I installed the appliances that weren't damaged myself and fixed there poor work.

    Was very disappointed with the installation. We paid $150 for installation when we purchased our dishwasher and when the crew who delivered it was done they charged us another $245. when I questioned this, they told me Best Buy should not charge customers because they don't know what is involved in the installation. Needless to say I never would have had Best Buy install my dishwasher if I knew it was going to cost me almost $400. I feel I was mislead and after spending $5600 on new appliances I won't be making the mistake of shopping for appliance at Best Buy again.

    Not installed properly and charged me additional cash money to install it. A built in dishwasher should not have the rubber showing on the outside of the cabinets. I called to ask what could we do about it but he didn’t answer my message and never returned my call.

    i'd give a zero star if it was an option. horrible experience, installation crew was 3 hours late + then didnt install even though we did everything asked of us in the preappointment checklist, then after getting everything suited to their new requirements, we never once got a followup call + every time we call best buy the call is routed out of country and is a nightmare trying to get results and or answers from and never once a call back.

    The techs that came to install my dishwasher were pleasant but they did not install the dishwasher properly. Whenever we pull the washer door open to load it, the entire machine falls out of place because it was not attached to the marble countertop as the previous washer was. I've contacted tech support and spoke to (2) different advisors to schedule a tech to correctly install my appliance but I've been given (2) separate dates from each advisor and each time I called to verify the dates given to me, I was told there was nothing scheduled. I feel the Totaltech service agreement I purchased is useless if I can't get the service I expect whenever I call.

    I’ve purchased 3 these dishwashers and all were installed by best buy. The first two were great! We lived in a home with 2 dishwashers and never had a problem. However, this one was not installed correctly. The top rack constantly rolls out and pushes the door open in the middle of a cycle causing the dishwasher to stop and beep. The door also doesn’t shut as tightly as it could and therefore makes the machine louder than our previous set. I have made multiple attempts to get through to customer service and either sit on hold for a very long time or when I have gotten though have been told someone will call me back, which they do not. Hoping by leaving this review someone will finally reach out to me to rectify the situation.

    The young man who arrived to install our DW was pleasant enough. When he tried to shut the DW valve off it resisted, so instead of shutting the water off at the source, he forced it and broke the valve stem. He did replace the valve and got the DW installed, however the next day our kitchen was flooded. The newly installed valve was leaking. We called him back and he said he could not return for several days. I called the HQ to escalate and finally, after a 90 minute hold, got in touch with an "escalation boss". The young man returned withing 2 hours. He installed a new valve. The next day the kitchen was flooded again. We called him back and he said hire a plumber, that he can't fix it. We did, and $138 later it was fixed properly. I am going to present my local Best Buy with a bill for the plumber. I hope they honor their obligation to reimburse me.

    I was disappointed that one of the installers showed up with no mask. He said it was wet and he could not use it. He was not getting into my house without a mask so I provided one for him. The other guy had his mask, was very informative and checked everything before he left.

    Nightmare experience

    I scheduled a dishwasher delivery online for November 7th. No one showed up November 7th. No call from Best buy. I called and they said it wasn’t delivered to them yet. They rescheduled for November 13th. They showed up and broke my sink and then told me the dishwasher was “faulty”. I suspect they were incompetent given the broken sink and likely broke the dishwasher too. Rescheduled delivery on another dishwasher 12/18, because by this time the dishwasher is on back order and that was the earliest they could do it. On 12/17 I received a call saying they were delivering to my home instead of my rental. I called and was told the message was a glitch and dishwasher would go to the right address. The dishwasher delivery still showed up 12/18 at the wrong address. This was a month and a half long nightmare. Never again will I give business to Best Buy.
