Great expansion!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this one! Lots of races, race types, lots of fun to be had in the Speedway hub world, various piece unlocks- but, best of all, even my 3 year old just loves driving around in the hub world. This is a fine addition to Infinity (despite its impending closure,) and one of only a couple themed expansions that allows you to use any figures in it from 1.0-3.0. Essentially, a kart racer featuring the Infinity cast, and while it may not be quite as extensive as some dedicated full-on kart games, as an expansion at its price point, it provides plenty of bang for your buck. Pros: 3 race types (time trial (race solo,) classic race (first to win 3 laps in a field of six,) or combat racing (the typical kart race with power-ups along the track- think Mario Kart)). 3 "styles" or cc ratings for vehicles to race, adding replayability to the tracks. Fun hub world- free "gas station" that adds boost so you don't have to manually drift. Free "tire shop" that upgrades your vehicle to monster truck tires to race with. Even trains can end up with monster tires- only ones that won't upgrade are the Motorcycles and hovering vehicles. Hub world has plenty of little tricks to pull off, appearing very much like a skate park, complete with rings to attempt to try and collect- it's own little mini-game. Ability to play with ANY of the Infinity figures from any version. Very few (I believe this and Toy Box Takeover) allow you to cross-play with the various versions outside of the Infinity Toy Box. While this isn't a story as many would have loved to see, it's still nice not to have to think about what characters you can or can't use. Cons: this is a mild con, but I would have liked to have seen more tracks- believe there's 6 or 8, with various hidden paths, but they're also not very large, bordering on "smaller map size in most kart racers". Not a deal-breaker at all, but it feels like it's "just enough" added to bring the Speedway to the public. A little more, even a touch more, would have made this incredible. If you haven't unlocked many vehicles through your standard Toy Box or Play Set playing sessions, there's not a lot to choose from with the included vehicles. In fact, the 4 standard included are just 4 generic race cars with a different color. If you believe you'll be driving the Tron light cycle or a Landspeeder out of the box, you'll be disappointed; you'll need to go back and play some with the rest of the base game and play sets before you can do this. As I said in the cons, there's times when it feels like there's only just enough in Speedway to have gotten it made- but, at the price point, it's hard to fault them too much. But, that does make it a touch sad, because what's here really is pretty fun- and if you have a little one that loves cars as much as mine does, it really made him happy- that's what matters more than my opinion, even if I always play with him. The added knowledge that Speedway is such a solid kart racer that, with success, could have been made larger and addressed some of the minor issues just won't happen now that Disney has cancelled Infinity just adds to the disappointment in playing a game that could have been even more fun with a Speedway 2.

Good expansion game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are very happy with this item. This expansion game is a playset piece for your infinity base that works with any infinity character. So, we like it because we have characters that cant play in other infinity playsets but this allows us to use them in this game driving a car. The gameplay is very fun yet challenging as well. For younger gamers they will enjoy driving around the various tracks and hitting jumps but for older gamers there is more to it. There are rings to collect that are somewhat challenging at times and also challenges to perform certain tricks. Overall, we are pleased with this expansion pack and would recommend it.

$20 for a PART of a game . . .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review., , , is what I would normally think about purchasing a new game mode for Disney infinity. But when it's a racing game developed by the team that brought us "Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed", I'm inclined to go all in. While not as inventive as Sega's racing masterpiece, the team gets the same perfect execution down here and makes it a worthy game in it's own right.

Lots of fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is limited in it's number of tracks, but not in the amount of fun you can have playing it. Through the game there are numerous vehicles to try and options to even make them Big Wheeled versions of most. As well, there are 3 difficulty levels to keep it challenging, along with regular race and battle versions where you can really let your friends have it.
