When I saw The Hunger Games after reading the books, I was worried about Divergent because I had not read the book. After seeing the video, it made me want to read the book and the rest of the series.

More than likely you've already heard of the Divergent series but if not then this is the place to start. Great story couple with awesome action scenes equals satisfied viewer.

Similar to many movies that depict a future civilization after a major war or disaster destroys the status quo. The plot plays out well even though it is part of a multi-part series.

If you like the Hunger Games movies or have read the Divergent book series and liked it then you will really like the movie. It follows the book plot very well and has a lot of action and great c.g.i.

very good price for a steelbook, but when best buy runs these kinds of sales they used warehoused merch or back room merch which most of the copies they shelved were damaged. if your a collector its frustrating

the movie continues the story of Tris and 4 and the others who are helping them. It explains more about the fenced in city and the ending is really great and leads you to wonder just how it all will end in the final story.

I really enjoyed this movie. The acting just seemed a little weird, just did not pull you in like you would have expected. It does bumble along at points but if you just sit and watch it to enjoy a movie you wont be disappointed.

The movie showcases the main theme of the book well. For those who didn't read the book, this movie is still easy to follow and understand the overall theme the author and director is trying to show.

This story line has an entire group of new faces. It brings the possible challenges of the future into the here and now. It is my hope that they will continue to make the series of books into films.

I thought it was going to be a repeat of Hunger Games, so I was to believe from online. However, I could not stop watching it. Watched it 3 times 2 times in 1 day. Did not do that with Hunger Games.

I jump at the rare opportunity to see an original film, but predictability has grounded my imagination for a new plot. I enjoyed the concept of the film and would be interested in seeing production votes for a sequel or spin-off.

A visually stunning movie with replay value. Loaded with action and terrific CGI. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the story was, as well. I can only hope the other two parts of the trilogy can hold water next to this one!

The story and execution for this book adapted to movie is great. While there are not tons of special effects the world created is incredibly well done. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Ok, this may sound OBVIOUS... but... Make sure to view the first movie in this series BEFORE watching this one. It will help the continuity of the story line. As a bonus, it will be more enjoyable as a result! Cheers!

This movie is similar to the Hunger Games in that the film involves factions of different people in a futuristic world. Please see this movie before you watch the movie Insurgent. Insurgent will make more sense if you do.

It is a good movie but follows the notion of the world coming to an end and what happens in the future with the human race. Typical scify. Interesting to watch and a good way to spend a couple of hours one evening.

Takes a lot for me to sit and watch a movie. I have bad ADD lol. This movie was worth every second I sat still AND when I saw Best Buy was selling it for 5$ I HAD to purchase!

this first installment of the series is better. it way able to show the future timeline and was better as it looked at this future. read the books first but did a good job going to a movie.

My daughter asked me to stop by and buy this movie. When I got home she asked me to watch it with he and promised I would like it. She was right, now I can't wait for the other movies to come out.

Interesting story line about a future society with people assigned to work groups according to their talents--the divergents were a special class of people that were treated differently. High action movie.
