Divergent started it all.... A really interesting story that has a well rounded search for 'the truth' in it along side of a romantic, rustic adventure.... Regardless of other opinions...I'm eagerly waiting for the 'last part' of this series.....Ascendant........

after seeing this in the theater, I came home and bought all the books and tore through them in a weekend....I'd been counting the days until the DVD release, and was excited to find that Best Buy would be providing this exclusive steelbook option. Great extras and great looking case!

This might be my actual favorite of all the female-driven epic movie series. Set in a post-apocalyptic Chicago, Shailene Woodley delivers a breakthrough performance as the titular divergent in a homogenous society where everyone is expected to fit into their little niche.

It's one of those movies I want to watch over and over again. The plot has you always waiting to see what's going to happen next, also the way the characters evolve is very refreshing. Looking forward to the rest of the movies. Good acting and super interesting story line.

Whoever says this is a knock off of the hunger games they're wrong. The story is very original and kind of creepy. Where hunger games it's dystopian I would say divergent was a utopian story. Intense at times and wasn't drowned out by a love triangle. I'd recommend this to anyone

Having read the book, I went in expecting Hollywood to have ruined it. But other than a few character changes, and some of the plot being made easier for a movie compared to a book, I felt that it was really well done.

Overall, the movie was done quite well. I become concerned about all these teen books being made into movies, especially when the horrible movies like Twilight are out there. It didn't placate to the teen audience, and kept it's darker roots. Enjoyable for many viewings to come.

This Steelbook edition appears to have all the available bonus features for Divergent. Unfortunately, it does not have a Blu-Ray 3D version, but perhaps there was never one available. I recommend buying only if you've seen the movie and liked it. If you just have a huge crush on Four, that is fine, too.

I thought this was a good first movie in the sequel. There is a lot of symbolism in the movie with the way this dystopian society is set up, with the castes and all. I liked the story line and the acting is very good. Would have liked to see more special effects, but this is a story driven movie. thumbs up.

Perfectly shown representing the 1st book in the series. Plus the ending leaves you craving the 2nd movie. This movie has all elements from, action to love story and everything in between. Plus the steel book is great added feature to have from only Best buy - a must have!

I knew nothing about this series, yet, after having viewed this one, I look forward to any and all sequels to it. The actors/actresses are not your everyday household names that you would recall, however, the production itself is excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

When I watch a movie I'm not trying to criticize or make myself look smart. I watched this movie and I loved it! It gave me what I wanted a great time, action and suspense. I feel that movies with younger protagonists tend to be better reads and make for great movies.

This movie took quite an interesting spin on teen soul searching of who we are and who we want to be. Casting specific sets of people and having them govern themselves in a specific way than others. When a choice is made it seems as though there is no going back.

I thought this would just be a version of the Hunger Games, but the story is different (though still sort of the same) and the acting is good. My granddaughters liked it a lot and I liked it and the sequel. Maybe not quite as good as the Hunger Games, but it holds its own with its divergent plot.

I'm a tough critic when it comes to movies that have been based on books but I liked this one! I thought that considering the plot and what they had to do to turn it into the movie, they did a great job. Shailene Woodley is a very talented actress. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this movie.

Highly entertaining- keeps your interest from start to finish. Somewhat of a teen movie so far as emotional investment in characters goes, yet as an adult this film was still very fun to watch. Not the best chemistry between main characters, but not distracting enough to detract from the story line.

They deleted two scenes that will be built on in future movies. Edward gets attacked by Peter to get him off of the top of the list putting him out with the fractionless. Then they didn't put the scene where her mother visits her at the Duantless compound. Great movie otherwise. Books are even better!

I loved these books, and love the movie just as much. They are action packed and have a fun love story too. This movie is perfect for young adults, and even adults! I have watched it with friends over numerous times and it is always a huge hit.
