This is my first action camera. Overall this product is very well made and suits my need, which is shooting short videos when I'm out in nature. The only complaint I have so far is the battery life, it's shorter than I expected and without a replaceable battery, which can be a problem for some people. Fortunately, this thing charges fast enough for me to drive a little bit and have a working camera again.

Unlike any other action, with the magnetic modular design I think this camera offers something different than any other very happy with this purchase and like the sleek design and how like this camera is in the ability it has. I would take a look at other reviews online to see if this is specific action camera is for you.

While not as durable as its predecessor, the Action 2 has quickly become one of my favorite action cameras. I use this on my incredibly shaky Harley motorcycle and it miraculously keeps the video perfectly stable. The magnetic lanyard works amazingly for POV video. Great quality video. Recommend!

I trust DJI when it comes to picture capturing and motion steadiness. This camera has that and more. you can wear it over your shirt and capture daily walks/jogs/hikes or any other activity that suits your fancy. With the different mounts provided your choices on what to capture are endless.

Purchased to use with the DJI FPV for higher resolution and better stabilization of the cinematic video during flight, while being the lighter than the GoPro series cameras. Action 2 also provides horizon stabilization that is not available due to FPV. Sale price was the Sincer.

      Dear customer,

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue. DJI Action 2 is designed to be compact and highly integrated. Therefore, when recording a high bitrate video for a long time, the camera unit emits much heat. If the device prompts “Device overheated. Unable to record.”, we recommend that you go through the steps below to extend your shooting duration.
      1. Lower the video resolution or frame rate.
      2. To record a high bitrate video for a long time, we recommend that you attach the camera unit to the front touchscreen module or power module.

Besides, you could use the DJI Action 2 Magnetic Protective Case to reduce surface temperature to optimize video recording. For more information, you can check the link: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=261437

This is a great idea from DJI. The second screen with increased battery life is a great idea and makes using this so much easier as a creator who works by themselves. So the battery on this is ok, the main camera unit by itself lasts just under 20 minutes recording 4K60, and when attaching the screen module you will get just over an hour also at 4k60. The OLED display really does beef up the battery. Sadly these results are not from continuous use which I will touch on shortly. As far as video and photography go I really do like this. It has a larger sensor than the competition and a wider angle which allows for more in your frame. The colors are nice and vivid but you can also shoot in something much flatter so you can grade in post to more of your own liking if the DJI option doesn't do it for you. Photos also look pretty good, the 12mp sensor does well offering decent HDR and details. Video and photos but look good and offer the same level of quality which I like as sometimes you can get a device that is only good at one and not so good at the other. 4K120 is also available on this which is excellent but I will touch on this shortly. You can also use this as a webcam which is another bonus. I've not used it this way yet so I can't talk of the quality. So I mentioned the recording times for the battery and that the camera can do 4K120 but we do have some issues here. The main issue is heat, when testing the battery I couldn't do this in one full-length test. The camera does overheat at different times when using 4K60 and more so at 4K120. you can get around this by using a lower resolution and frame rate but that isn't acceptable as these are reasons to buy this camera. As this is perfect as far as a setup for vloggers it is unacceptable that this overheats so much. I know I do longer-form videos and this would hinder my workflow so much and has done in initial testing. If you are somewhere with a cooler breeze and have this mounted then the heat isn't as much of an issue but it's a shame that this is the case. Also if you are in somewhere with wind and such then you will have audio issues as this doesn't do a great job of removing that. Is it useable? Yeah but not as good as it should be at this price. Another niggle is the fact that the main camera is waterproof to just over 30 feet but the modular screen with extra battery life is not... Seriously... You have to buy a separate case for this which at this price is naughty. Overall this is a decent camera with options up to 4K120. it has good quality video and photos but is let down by overheating issues. The overheating is going to be a deal-breaker for many people, especially vloggers but if you do short-form content then you will likely love this setup as the magnetic screen attachment makes this excellent to use as a solo creator. I have given this a 3/5 as if you do shorter videos/content you will love this.

The DJI Action 2 Dual Screen Combo retails for $520 USD. DJI's new action camera is a new and innovative with a magnetic modular design. Out of the box, you get the 4k camera, front touchscreen module, magnetic adapter mount, power cable, magnetic lanyard, and magnetic ball-joint adapter mount. The video quality shooting at 4k is pretty good. Nice smooth slow motion at 120 fps and timelapse. The recording video format is MP4 (H.264 / HEVC) and the photo formats are JPEG / RAW. The camera module has roughly an hour of battery life shooting at 1080@30fps. Each extra modular pack adds about 2 more hours of camera battery life. The camera has 32G of memory built in but only 22G is usable for storage. The memory is expandable by using the microSD card slot on each additional module up to 256G. The camera module is water proof up to 10 meters. BUT the modular attachments are NOT unless you use the underwater housing (not included). This is a really neat compact camera but there are some major drawbacks. - I did experience some overheating while filming especially filming in 4k. The camera did give me a warning before shutting off. - The protective glass for the camera is not removable. You would think an action camera would have the feature of a removable protective lens just incase it gets messed up. - The attachable modules act as back up batteries. The Power module costs about $80 each. Yes, the camera comes with a built in battery BUT you can't charge it without the use of the additional modular touchscreen or battery pack. A costly drawback if you are planning to be film all day. - The built in magnets aren't very strong. You have to make sure that the attachment clips are firmly secure. Especially on the lanyard that will swing around. - The cost is $520. Its too expensive for what you get in my opinion. Having experience using other action cameras on the market, the drawbacks to using this camera out weighs its usefulness.

      Dear customer,

Sorry for any inconvenience. DJI Action 2 is designed to be compact and highly integrated. There are an SD card slot and a USB-C port in the front screen module, therefore, Action 2 is not water-proof when it is attached with the front screen/battery module without using a water-proof case. And when recording a high bitrate video for a long time, the camera unit emits much heat. If the device prompts “Device overheated. Unable to record.”, we recommend that you go through the steps below to extend your shooting duration. 1. Lower the video resolution or frame rate. 2. Everything DJI has been great, and the DJI Action 2 was no different. The many attachments to extend battery, add storage with an SD card, waterproof case and extension rod, make this camera a suitable competitor to the GoPro 10

Last night I wanted to give this camera a chance many times, but it's not possible. If he just had a problem maybe I could keep it. But it has many problems and it is too expensive for so many problems. Image stabilization is a disaster. Crops half of the frame. Dji app has too many problems. Not stable. shuts down, cannot connect with the device. Recording times are too short. Forget 4k footage. Because after about 1 minute the device will overheat and turn itself off. Forget the 2k footage too. In 3 minutes you will be holding a bread oven in your hand. Although 1080p shooting may cause the device to overheat, it will not turn itself off and will continue shooting with the power cord plugged in. Only in this way can it save its battery. Although I used the fastest recommended microSD card, the audio and video synchronization problem occurred because the device overheated during recording. If you buy this, you will waste your money.
