Honestly, I researched these drones a lot before coming to Best Buy. Best Buy had a totally competitive price and purchase for pickup saves a lot of time. This is my go to store for electronics and drones!

Have officially taking mine on about 35 flights and roughly 7:00 or 8 hours. Here's what I have to say about it quick and easy. I have been flying drones for quite some time I am licensed. This drone is great for a simple photos and videos but do not expect anything beyond what the DJI mini 3 does. The obstacle avoidance does not work at all. It will only stop for giant broad walls and recognizably large structures. It will not avoid anything beyond 6 to 8 ft in diameter. So basically don't take it around trees, power lines, power poles, people, and things like that. The videography is not as good as it's supposed to be there is no way this is 4k my mini 2 does a better job. Honestly since the updates I would not advise purchasing this if you are trying to get professional grade anything. I have protection on my mind so I do plan on exchanging it. It would be my solid belief that this is not worth the money. If you're going to buy an expensive drone either go with the FPV and get blade protectors if you're looking for speed and performance. If you're looking for videography and obstacle avoidance on professional level spend the extra money and get a mavic 3 pro or go with autel robotics and get one of their drones that have carbon fiber protection.

A lot more quieter than the Air 2S. Video quality does not crop in at 4K. However, 48MP photos looks a bit rough.

I have been recreationally flying the DJI Air 2S since April of 2021 so my focus for the Air 3 is on the changes/upgrades/downgrades. The DJI RC2 remote eliminates the need to surrender your cell phone to be used as the display. This is both awesome and terrible. It’s awesome because to start flying all you have to do is connect the joysticks and go! It’s terrible because having the drone save photos and videos directly to your connected phone was a simple way to quickly share your drone flights with others. Now getting photos and videos off the drone and onto your cell phone requires an awkward fast sync functionality which requires the cell phone, the remote, and the drone all being powered on at the same time. You might as well just remove the SD card from the drone and sync to your computer. The online community is full of complaints about two changes: the smaller sensor on the camera (compared to the Air 2S) and internal storage of only 8GB. I find the additional camera and the optical zoom features more than make up for a slightly less capable camera, but I agree that 8GB on a device is terribly small by todays storage standards. For reference, a two-minute-thirty-second 4K video shot on the Air 3 results in a 2.47GB file so if you plan on capturing hi-res videos and photos on this drone adding an SD card isn’t a luxury - it’s a must. My dog goes insane barking and jumping about when he hears the Air 2S take off. It’s like a pack of yellow jackets coming in for attack and he just doesn’t know how to handle it. The Air 3 is a larger drone yet manages to be much quieter. While he gives the 3 a few barks of acknowledgement it doesn’t bother him as much which is a huge win in my mind. The upgraded batteries both in design and capacity are a welcome improvement including the move from the flat charging pad back to a plastic charging case. Anytime you can get more flight time out of each battery is a game changer when you want to spend more time adjusting for that perfect shot. If you’re rocking the fly more kit with the 3 batteries everything about the carrying case has improved and the drone is much easier to store and travel. I’m finding the larger size also stands up better to wind and provides a smoother flight experience which makes everything about flying with this drone more enjoyable. With additional sensors to avoid obstacles, longer battery life, a smoother flight experience and integrated video into the remote control the Air 3 is an excellent drone for first time users and if you’re an existing Air 2S owner a worthy upgrade.

Longest battery life is no where near advertised. The most I have gotten is about 29 minutes with flying around. Their 46 minutes must be hovering in still air. Still about 10 minutes better than my old Air 2S. A lot faster than my Air 2S (According to the screen, 47 mph, my 2S would do mid 30s). I do like the range and ability to fly far away if you keep it up high. Like any of them if you get down below 100-200 feet even a half mile out in any kind of terrain/trees, be prepared for a black screen that wakes up on the way back home. I am disappointed in the camera resolution. I use this to count animals on pasture and have to be closer with the 3 than the 2S. I expected more from the camera as far as resolution. So in the end, I regret buying it because of going backwards in camera resolution. If you want to zoom in on the pictures on another device it is terrible. If you are into blowing up pictures, or need to zoom in for detail, definitely don't buy this drone.

My first real drone. It is fast and easy to fly. I don't think you can crash this thing unless you really wanted too. If you are just starting out, this is a great choice. I haven't learned all is features yet, but it is very impressive.

Great drone love the 2 cameras it truley is a great drone but WHY does it come with eveything you need BUT the power brick to chsrge your batteries and controller it comes with the batteries the 3 batterie dock but no cables or charger???

Love my DJI Air 3 drone.. Best Buy has the greatest return policies and make sure you buy the Best Buy Insurance plan when buying a drone.. It is a must and you will not be disappointed..

Ease of use and all the material available to help you understand the ins and outs of this drone are what make it worth every last penny. Great for beginners and seasoned operators alike.

This is drone is happy medium if you're between the mini or mavic series. I wouls think this is the bigger brother of the Mini 4 pro minus the telephoto lens, if you value the 3x zoom then I would recommend getting this
