Years later and still performs like a champ! No regrets with the Mavic 2 Air.

I rarely use this drone because of the new FAA restrictions. I will have to admit in the times I was able to use the drone, the results were awesome. The video resolution was crisp. The pictures were equally crisp. But now, four years later, this drone is junk and let me tell you why. As I am writing this, we are on a survey trip to Alaska, and this drone was supposed to be part of that survey. Two nights ago, I checked to see if any firmware updates were available, as part of due diligence to ensure all equipment are running in tiptop shape, I would update firmware as needed to ensure smooth operations. However, as soon as I updated the firmware on this drones, controller, The controller completely died. It could no longer be used, and troubleshooting was impossible because the controller would not switch on at all. Needless to say, we were unable to use this particular drone for the survey. I contacted DJI, and they could not provide, immediate troubleshooting. So this drone is completely useless. Apparently, in order to have this drone fixed I have to send everything to DJI support. What a complete disappointment and hassle. If DJI will charge me for this repair, I will have to explore more legal options. Apparently this has been an ongoing issue in the past couple of years with other DJI customers. Looking into organizing a class action lawsuit.

I bought it for my boyfriend. He loves it. The photos and videos are high quality. It is Iphone compatible only (atleast the one I was sent) so I did have to buy him an Ipad mini to fly it.

Very happy with it. So much to now learn and do with an “entry” level drone. Already got people in wow of the little things I’ve already posted

I am extremely satisfied with this drone purchase, it’s much easier to fly compared to my last one.

This is one of the best drones available today. I already have the Phantom Advanced, but this Air 2 is superior. It flies fantastically and produces nothing but perfect results. WELL WORTH THE COST!!

Man, pre ordered mine back in april and i am still waiting, it was to ship and i get it on release date but i am still waiting but after watching youtube videos on it and everything else, i am sure it is worth the wait. like they said good things come to those who wait.

WAIT A SECOND - Before you get all excited about this drone THERE IS A MAJOR ISSUE: THE BATTERY... This company has made a great product full of features and cool software, but they have FAILED TO TELL YOU that the battery life that they tout as being 30 minutes is AT THE MOST 15 minutes. To make matters worse, their software does not recognize this and hasn't been written with a MANDATORY RETURN TO HOME command that sends the drone back before it FORCES IT TO LAND - like it happened to me when I was flying over the Rio Grand gorge canyon bridge and the drone was forced to land on a vertical 600 foot rock wall that is not accessible to the public and I lost the drone. This MANDATORY RETURN TO HOME would prevent people from wondering how much more fly time they have and simply end the flight and bring their aircraft back safely. I just lost $700 because this company FAILS TO COME CLEAN on how long this drone can fly for - AGAIN - THE BATTERY LIFE IS NO MORE THAN 15 OR 20 MINUTES - but because the battery goes faster when it is windy, or when the camera is being rotated or when a quick flight is initiated it has no way to tell you that. THIS EXPERT Mr. Dovey should be telling you this! I am enfuriated with this product - which otherwise is great. It is like having a good friend... but he is dead - what is the point?

Upgraded from the original Mavic Air but only got to fly once and didn't even get through one battery. Received a message that the battery was overheating. When I landed, the drone would not turn off and smelt strongly of burning plastic. I couldn't even get the battery out of the drone once it died. Saw on DJI forums that this is somewhat of a common defect that has something to do with the charging hub which is ridiculous. Aside from my lemon of a drone, not having side sensors is very risky for beginning drone pilots. And from the little bit of footage I was able to get, I didn't notice much of an upgrade in video/picture quality.

I pre-ordered the combo. When it arrived I opened the box and found that it DID NOT INCLUDE: the ND filters, 'spare' controller sticks, battery to power bank, or the USB type-C, the lightning connector, or the Micro-USB connector. I returned it for a refund. 5 stars to best buy for their customer service. 0 stars to DJI for false advertising. The filters and power bank are even shown on the combo box. I hope this was just a fluke and all of the other orders that shipped from DJI have everything they promised.

The Fly More Combo was missing cables, filters, and charging base. The missing cables included the cable to plug in my phone and the cable to charge the controller. We returned the drone and combo to our local Best Buy. They offered an exchange but that Fly More Combo was missing the same parts! The store offered a small discount but said they could not help us.
