This is my 4th drone, my previous drone being the Phantom 4. This drone is amazing. The portability due its size makes it my go to drone. It is so easy to carry around . The size doesn’t jeopardize its features or quality. Very easy to use, great range and excellent quality images. Initially I wasn’t sure if I really needed the extra package - I really just got it for the bag - which is excellent. But I have used the extra batteries with every flight I’ve done. Definitely get the fly more package with the drone.

After owning the Mavic Mini, I recently upgraded to the Mavic Air 2. I was pleasantly surprised. The Air 2 is every bit better than the Mini and in some ways even better than it’s bigger brother, the Mavic Pro. If you’ve never flown a drone before, the Air 2 can easily be your first drone. It’s that easy to fly. It’s not that much more expensive than the Mavic Mini. It’s got features on it that are among the best that the droning technology has to offer. The Occusync technology in it alone is worth purchasing the Air 2. It allows you to fly further and more reliably than the Mini’s Wi-Fi technology. The Air 2 is the least expensive Occusync craft. The camera is amazing. With some practice, it will allow you to take fabulous photographs and videos. The onboard obstacle avoidance system will help you avoid damaging situations. Granted it doesn’t have 360° of coverage but it’s more than enough to help you intelligently avoid unwanted crashes. The onboard battery allows the Air 2 to fly about half an hour which will put a smile to your face. You can accomplish a lot in 30 minutes. You’ll have enough time to compose your shots or if you just want to fly. The Air 2 is simply the best drone for your money at this moment. Features, performance, safety, cost. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend the Air 2.

I have no interest in photography or video, I purchased a John just to play with. Build quality: very impressed with the quality of materials and the quality of the build overall. Everything is nice and sturdy and doesn't seem fragile. With the exception of the gimbal of course. Speed: normal mode the Drone flies at approximately 28 miles an hour, and in sport mode it reaches speed of about 48 miles an hour. Which is more than enough to chase a jetski or a boat. Range: maximum I have seen is about 1 mile maybe a mile and a half. Probably because I am in the suburbs. Video transmission is great all the way up to that distance. I have not been able to fly the Drone more than a mile or a mile and a half away from my location. The distance has advertised probably have to do with radio interference, most of them seem to take place in fields and locations where radio interference might not be an issue. Battery life: I purchased the combo so I have three batteries. Each battery lasts approximately 25 minutes, all together I can get a good hour to hour and a half a flight time between regular mode and sport mode. Overall perception: I am not a professional photographer or videographer, so I couldn't care less about its photo or video capabilities. What interest me is flying the Drone, and quality of the video transmitted to the receiver. However I am very impressed with the quality of the video and the quality of the pictures that I have taken. This can definitely be used for professional photography or video making. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. I have three batteries for the Drone, but sometimes I wish I had four or five. The Drone is a lot of fun and I am very happy with my purchase.

I have had a few cheap drones in the past and quickly got tired of them. The Mavic Air 2 is outstanding! It's so easy to fly, has a very long range, a long battery life, and the camera is incredible. The features are endless. I have spent hours watching videos and learning more and more about the capabilities of this drone. The ONLY two things I wish it had are side collision sensors and a zoom function but you can't beat it for the price.

I finally broke down and decided to invest in a drone. The Mavic Air 2 was definitely the best choice! While I am still learning to use some of the video / photo functions, this drone is truly EASY for a beginner to use (without too much fear of destroying it by running into things - just make sure you read the instructions and set the avoidance function), takes amazing photos and videos (4K), and the battery life is pretty decent. Can you put the propellers on incorrectly? Absolutely (but the color coding pretty much alleviates that)! But, if you do happen to swap the propellers (I did that when I had taken them off and reversed the rear propellers when I placed them back on), if you try to take off, the system will note the blades are on incorrectly and won't take off and will give you an on-screen warning). Flying the Mavic Air 2 is very easy. On sport mode, the drone moves VERY fast (but object avoidance is turned off, so be careful when flying in sport mode). In normal mode, the drone is very easy to handle and, as previously noted, it takes some amazing videos and pictures. My only negative opinion on pictures is transferring from drone to phone (I have an iPhone) takes a little longer than I would have anticipated, but it is still reasonable. BOTTOM LINE: I would highly recommend the Mavic Air 2 for beginners (as I am brand spanking new to the world of drone ownership): the ability to get up and flying, while taking some amazing pics/vids, is quick and easy!

This is my third camera drone in about two years. First was a Chinese grey market drone (a gift, which suffered a mechanical failure after about 5 hours of use.) Second was a DJI Mavic Mini which I still have and love. The price was right and the package was good. As soon as I heard that the Mavic Air 2 was available for pre-order I signed up. I wasn't sorry. This drone is amazing. It has the features of a drone twice its price and the build quality and refinement that you expect from DJI. The camera quality is excellent, even in automatic modes. The battery life is as quoted - approximately 30 minutes per charge. It also is excellent in windy conditions and if you believe some of the you tube videos out there it can handle a lot. The automatic video features are excellent and useful. It allows you to fly the drone while tracking moving objects automatically with the camera. Alternately you can have it follow a subject along a path using it's obstacle avoidance features. The only thing I might have issue with is the fact that you need a fairly new and fairly advanced phone or tablet to use with the remote supplied with the Air 2 or the Mavic mini. I was able to purchase a pay-as-you-go phone which met the minimum spec (Samsung A20) and still paid approximately $200. I did not wish to use my personal cell phone as my remote control as it could result in flights being interrupted by texts or calls, or at the least a distraction I'd rather not deal with.

Coming from the original Phantom 1 I figured I would be impressed with how far DJI has come but this thing is ridiculously good. Super stable, very easy to control and the camera, WOW! It's very lightweight and compact when folded. The remote is a nice size and the whole package feels very well made. A great little UAV!

So you're wondering if you should buy the Mavic Air 2? The simple answer in my opinion is yes. The camera quality is amazing. This Drone shoots up to 4k 60fps and it really looks like 4k! When flying it, the video is so stable and smooth and I'm kind of shocked how well it captures all the details in the frame. Flying is super easy with the app and controller user-friendly infrastructure. I will say that, the slower you pan up/down and left/right, the clearer the video footage ends up in the end. All the presets for cinematic shots are cool too, but sometimes it's nice to get creative and fly manually. The fly more combo is worth it. Guys...one battery is not gonna be enough (it lasts like 20-30min but when your flying your drone time goes by quickly). The extra batteries alone are awesome. All the other accessories, especially the high quality bag that it comes with, might save you money in the long run for things you will need. *BIG POINT HERE* you should know that there is more to a drone then just buying one, there are some steps you'll have to take to make sure you are legally flying (if you live in the U.S. at least) so check out the local laws in your area and the FAA guidelines. Is it worth it? Yes. Is it a little pricey? Yes. BUT you will definitely capture some beautiful moments with this drone and have a ton of fun.

Good drone. At the time we bought it, arguably the best for the money. The fly more package is definitely worth it for the extra batteries alone. Very easy to fly, and returns automatically from point of take off. Lots of instructional videos on YouTube, which is a necessity considering there are virtually NONE that come with it. The pictures and video look great. My only complaint would be that the information that comes with it is nearly nonexistent. There really should be some info about legal use and the necessity for an FAA license unless you're only going to take it to the park occasionally and go "oooooohhh, aaaaasshhhhhh" as you make it go up and down. It also took me some time to figure which app to use with it (DJI Fly). It's not available in the play store, (though there are others that you will undoubtedly download first before realizing they don't work). You have to download it directly from the website. At least that's what i had to do at the time. But overall, it's a fantastic drone with amazing capabilities. Definitely recommend you spend the money on the extra battery package, or you'll spend a lot more buying them after the fact, and they are absolutely necessary unless you're in the "oooohhhh, aaaaahhhhh" camp.

This is my first drone and have had it for a month now. I read a lot of reviews and watched many youtube videos before making my purchase. I was concerned about some of the issues people reported but their were more positive than negative and hopefully DJI addresses the problems. When I unboxed the combo I first thought parts were missing as some of the reports mentioned but when I checked the travel bag they were in the top zippered pouch which did startle me at first. Before I did anything I watched the videos and read the manual as recommended. When it came time for my first flight I was very nervous being that the drone was $1000 dollars and I didn't want to destroy it on my first flight. I have to say I was very impressed at how easy this was to fly. Take off and landing was no issue. I still have a lot to learn but that will come over time. The drone handles very well even in mild wind and both the pictures and videos are very crisp and clear. My intent was to explore the back woods, shoot aerial pictures of the house and just fly for fun. Definitely a good purchase for me. As mentioned I have a lot to learn and play with so I can see hours of fun coming my way. I highly recommend this for any beginner. I can't speak to the expert level as this is my first drone.

Obviously, the Mavic Air 2 was supposed to be the drone that does it all - and for the most part, it does! It can take crispy photos, sharp videos, a lot of camera movement, long battery life (especially when you have three), and imroves on many of the issues and the limitations that the Mavic Air 1 faced. I had the Mavic Air 1 in February and flew it in the cold and it wasn't stable whatsoever, only to find out that this was a problem with the IMU across the model. This issue is gone with the Air 2. The original also really seemed to struggle with range, as it was a wifi-based connection and could hardly get past a mile. Now, as long as it is flown in a relatively non-urban area, the range is immaculate. The controller was another major change, and although I initially despised the design, it is MUCH more comfortable to use than the old one, and easier to mount your phone. Not to mention the controller's battery life is longer. Best of all about the bundle: it's all using USB-C. The fly more combo omes with so many accessories and 2 extra batteries for less than $200 over the base price, so I'd definitely say its worth it, as I would never want to miss an amazing shot if I only had one battery which would be dead. 10/10 recommend.

Let me start by saying, “I have never flown a drain before”. Did a lot of research and watch a lot of YouTube to decide what drone I wanted. This drone fit the idea I had. Great camera, easy to fly, long range, and of course not the most expensive. With the new firmware update they added zoom. It’s a unbelievable drone for the price.

This product is so much fun! We have the entire family involved in flying. It takes wonderful pictures. It is very easy to understand and use. I love that it will go back to its home based on its own. The picture quality is actually pretty good. I would definitely make sure to have two batteries.

I recently bought this as my first drone and did a ton of research in advance because I knew very little about what was available. I needed something that was easy to set up/fly, could handle windy conditions and could take sharp pictures and video. I considered several but chose this one because it seemed like it would meet all my needs. So far, this drone has been perfect for my uses on a farm and ranch. I have been at 200 feet and taken photos of animals that could clearly be seen when I zoomed in on the picture with my phone. I have flown in winds of about 15 mph and it had no trouble staying steady to take quality photos and video or flying into that wind. (I have yet to try it in the stronger Oklahoma winds.) I watched a few tutorial videos in advance and it took me about half an hour to set it up and have it in the air. I was worried about such an expensive purchase because I knew so little about drones before I started researching. I feel like I made a good choice.

Im not a pro and just upgraded from the spark but I'm not too impressed and I think I've got a greasy perspective on if you should get a drone or not (skip past the pros/cons to hear if you should get a drone or not) Cons- I haven't had the best luck with signal distance. I thought I could fly this guy miles and still have control without worry but sadly I was wrong. I've lost contact with the drone a few times and had to walk closer to get back control, thats scary business. This drone is noisy. I can hear this thing a block away and if you're underneath it, you'll hear it till like 400 ft up. So being discrete is difficult. I feel like I can only fly when no one is around or you'll draw a crowd. People can clearly hear your drone from a ways away. With power comes that noise. You'll get constant high wind warnings but it handles the wind well. I had a couple sparks and they were ninjas compared to this drone. I miss the spark, you can install an old apk and take that thing up so high. The air 2 is annoying with its restrictions. Dont fly into a flight zone at 200 ft. Warnings come up,I lost signal, the drone wouldn't move for a bit totally weird. Pros The flight time is great. You have ample time to go a distance do your work then return with worry. Not feeling rushed is huge. Great camera. HDR(at 30fps) looks amazing and 60fps is what everyone wants to see. The slow motion at 1080p looks great. The 8k time lapse very cool. The fly more package obviously is worth it if you have the extra cash atm. So you're thinking about buying a drone, Why? Thinking you'll take up nature photography? Theres only so many worth while spots in your state and guess what a hundred people already went there and shot it. Some of them are probably professional photogs or editors so good luck competing with them for views. Wanna bring the drone with you on hikes n take a photo? Well a $25 self stick tripod will work, is the rocket shot from your walk at your local park work a thousand dollar device? The sad part is the people hiking with ya will be bothered while they sit there for you to set up a drone, figure out your best shot, taking the shot and all that jazz when usually they just wanna keep hiking. And how many times are you going to do this? Like every time you hike at the same spot? Doubtful. If I were to being able to return my air 2, I'd buy a mavic mini and an oculus quest. It's almost the same price for those 2 for this drones. All and all the kit was $1090 for my air 2 fly more bundle. I'm sure I'd be happy with the crappier smaller drone and when I asked people if they watched any of my videos in the 4k, most said no or they just watched it on their phone. You can get 8k pictures but most people are only watching your stuff on 1080p, it's the sad joke of the drone world. The fact is you're probably not going to use the drone as much as you think and may even end up not using it at all. I've had 5 friends who had drones, none still drone. Theres really no point in owning a drone. After posting your 40th vacation video or your 40th waterfall video you'll see what im saying.

Fly More Combo is a must. Watch the ad on DJI’s site - everything is as advertised. Stability and takeoff/landing is perfect. Amazing video quality plus outstanding modes. Compact enough to hike with but still stable enough to withstand winds and quality is like a Pro2 or better. SO easy to use. More than worth the money.
