Great but needs some firmware updates

Promptly sold it and bough the Mavic Air 2. The MA2 is better in every way. Remote, while much larger is much better feel in the hand. Flies great and handles the wind well. Camera is also awesome. Now some of the cons No gimbal sensitivity settings like the Mini has. No yaw and pitch sensitivity either so camera and drone movements are very harsh if you don't go easy on the sticks. Also, in the sport mode, the gimbal will always jerk down when taking off. I think these should be handled in a firmware update. At least I hope so.

Magic air 2

The video is crystal clear. Battery life is closer to 30 minutes vs the 45 as advertised, so happy to get the 3 batteries. Only complaint on this for me is the zoom capabilities, it has nearly none. I think it was well worth the money.

If your not a collector I would get this over mini

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally returned the Mavic Mini to instead get the Mavic Air 2 because I was not happy with the signal loss on the Mini due to my area having many trees. The Air 2 controller with Ocusync 2 is extremely good. I was able to fly way beyond what the mini was.. Not to mention, some of my footage has already ended up on the news with them giving kudos on the quality. Definitely play with your settings and LEARN THEM because this thing has SOooo much to it that you will maybe get discouraged if you don't take the time to learn what it can do.

The 30 minute battery really is one of my favorite of the MANY upgrades. The video transmission is great with the new ocusync instead of WiFi. Haven’t had any problem with loss of connection. I haven’t ever had to re calibrate my compass which was something i had to do every time with the original mavic air. So happy about that. I’m happy to see the obsticale avoidance sensors work so great. Saved me a couple times. I made a great investment and am very happy with its performance. Good Job DJI on such a quality product. 10/10 would recommend !
