I'm new to flying and although the learning curve is like from here to Venus, it's a blast just getting to know how to fly it. I purchased the combo- for the extra $100 it is so, so worth it with what more you get!! As many others have said, this is a great beginners model but it's not a cheap toy drone in any way. The prop sound has a cool, slightly muted sound which I love- sounds like 100 bees are leaving the scene. The quality and features of this quad copter, especially for the price, is a terrific place to start or get to and stay. It will last a good many years (if I keep it outta the neighbors yard)
