I absolutely love my Mavic. I am blown away by the video/picture quality. This quad is an absolute dream to fly. If you have never flown a quad before this might not be the best place to start due to it's price but it definitely makes it easy for you. There are 100's of YouTube tutorials to help get you set up correctly. It has quite a long flight time and incredible gps accuracy. One thing that I would recommend is insurance. StateFarm and AllState both have drone policies for about $60/yr.

I've done extensive research between this drone and the GoPro Karma and decided to give the Mavic a try. I am definitely not disappointed in my decision at all. Yes, the Karma comes with the Karma Grip and Hero camera, but the other features in the Mavic more than make up for the lack of the detachable camera. Here are the things that won me over: 1) better battery life, 2) longer range, 3) portability, 4) obstacle avoidance. These are just a few of the things that factored in.

This drone is easy to fly and the camera can take some awesome clips. I think you would want to have an extra battery or more to extend the time you can be airborne. You could get hooked on this drone.

I originally had a Phantom 3 standard. Nice drone, but it doesn't have the range or the compactability of the Mavic. And the Mavic has a 4k camera. Performance is amazing, very happy with this drone.

Ok, I had a couple Parrot Drones back in the day and decided to see what the new tech was all about. This thing is insane, like 4.4 mile range and 4k video, its like having your own private UAV. I love flying this thing and it is as responsive and stable as you can get. It looks so sexy all folded up and that portability is why I love takin git places(looked in Phantom 3 & 4).

I am happy with my purchase: Camera is awesome, The range is crazy, The GPS part is nice so it doesn't get lost, Overall pretty user friendly, The only down side would be the short batter life :(

The Mavic Pro is a great drone. It’s really easy to fly and the pictures/video it takes are amazing. I strongly recommend the package for the spare batteries alone. If you get disoriented flying it just press the return to home button and it flies itself right back to where it took off. If you spend a couple hours reading up on it (while you’re initially charging the batteries) it will be a much more rewarding experience. Just buy it and have some fun!

Sort of impulse bought this drone when it was one sale. I had a friend who used one and couldn't believe the quality of the footage he was able to record. Really easy to use unit although the biggest thing I didn't like about it was having to use my S8 phone as the screen. I had a Mophie battery case on it and found the phone a bit problematic to use while in the grips.

This is my 3rd drone and by far the best. Easy to travel with by just putting it in my backpack. I totally recommend the video/photography is awesome. The flight modes make it a breeze to fly.

I've been playing with the Mavic for a couple weeks and with the most basic features I can say it is awesome! picture quality is stunning and so stable, even with some wind up there! love it!

The Mavic Pro is an excellent drone, for the beginners and experts. The drone takes excellent photos and video, and demonstrates great range and a stable connection to the remote and phone.

I love the size and stability of this drone. It is very easy to fly and captures great pictures and videos!

This is by far the best drone out. It folds up so small. You can take this anywhere. I am amazed how far this can go and stable it is for the size. Way better than phantom. I hear the video is a little bit better with phantom 4, but for the size difference, i would not even consider the phantom. Very happy.

Purchased this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. Flying time is little less than 1/2 hour but that seems to be above standard with drones. Great clear pics and easy to use.

I would recommend this drone to anyone. It's easy enough for beginners as this is my first drone. But as you get better you find more features and ways to use it. Takes great videos/photos. Sensors work good on it but it's not gonna catch everything so you still have to be careful. I'd recommend watching YouTube tutorials, I have learned a lot from them. Be most cautious around power lines and trees, they seem to be what causes most crashes.

Where to start, I formerly would fly quads that I built myself and was very skeptical about this as I am used to being in control of the programming. I had to try this as I had got out of the hobby at first but I felt I wanted something that was plug and go. I am very glad I did, it is easy to use as soon as you get all the commands and procedures down. We use this to film biking and have even timed the setup from backpack to flight to be a minute and a half, not bad at all. Even my wife has learned to fly it as it is user friendly for newbies. At first there is a lot to learn but well worth the investment of time and of course money. Have fun!

I studied drones for over one month before purchasing one. It is not a small investment by any means. DJI who makes the Mavic Pro seems to be the "Apple" of the drone industry. I chose this drone because it is the most portable and compact compared to the others with comparable features, such as 4K video and camera abilities in the same price range. It is incredibly easy to fly and has different modes to fly in like cinematic or tripod to capture more stable video. It also has obstacle avoidance in most flight modes. Be sure to read the directions and watch many You Tube videos to help you learn about it. The biggest downfall with drones are the FAA regulations which govern the airspace in which you want to fly. However, this is also needed to protect our freedoms and safety of people around drones. DJI also has new software updates that you will have to download and comply with to enable all functionality of your drone, otherwise you will be limited in how you can fly. This software also knows where you are flying and may prevent you from flying in certain areas, where there are no fly zone, such as Washington, D.C. Again, this is about flying responsibly. One other downfall is that you cannot fly drones in any National Park as of three to four years ago, mainly thanks to drone operators flying irresponsibly. You also have to call Air traffic control if you are flying within a five mile radius. With all these drawbacks, it still doesn't hinder my enthusiasm for the art of flying a Mavic Pro drone and taking amazing video. I took this on vacation and was able to get some amazing video making the trip that much more memorable. I simply love it.

As the Inspire 1 v2.0 comes down in price, I have been waiting for the next step in drones. DJI has far surpassed the competition in technology at this point. Although a few company's are starting to catch up. I have had 2 Phantom 3's fo4 a couple of years and have flown and crashed them in several states, after a few repairs, they still fly and produce very good video and pics. You can find parts everywhere so it has been worth the purchases. The Mavic Pro is smaller but feels quite stout, and has very good build quality. It flys very smooth, and has very well thought out options to film with. Very happy to finally get one and look forward to getting some good shots this spring/summer. However, I have been repairing electronic items for some time and can see, repairing this drone would be difficult if not impossible. So it's good to have all the sensors, which work very well. If your on the fence about this purchase, take that leap, this is no toy, and I think this year will be the year of the drone, now I'm waiting for the Phantom 5? We'll see. The Mavic Pro is the Cadillac of drones, regardless of size, and with the iPad mini tablet holder I ordered will be my favorite. Love the P3's but this portable drone the sky is indeed the limit.

Portability is everything! able to store in my car and always available to shoot whenever I pass by a great scenery in the SF Bay Area! quality and reliability is top notch something you expect from DJI. I thought of this kind of drone, small and foldable few years ago since I got the Phantom 3 and Inspire 1... and oh boy just a dream come through! Don't wait you guys pick one up... there will be NO anything smaller or better anytime soon!
