The product has a known issue: Overloaded. Once I started to fly it, the message kept coming on the screen. I had already taken everything off, and it still said Overloaded. I called the DJI tech support, and they said it was a known issue, and I had to send the item back to them for service. WTF, I just spent $1K on a defective item. The other issue was the camera cannot be tilted. The tech support said it was the APP issue. Re-downloaded and installed 3 times, it didn't fix the problem. Best Buy would charge 20% restocking fee. I will never buy anything again from Best Buy. They are not taking care of me as a customer. I spent over $7K at the store last year. What a lousy service!

Very good flight. Probably can do better in battery for next edition

havent had any issues yet so hopefully this one is better than the Spark

It seems like a very good product, but the fourth day of limited use, the controller battery level dropped to zero and failed to re-charge. Item exchanged for a new one through Best Buy. The jury is still out.

Good drone they need to do a batery that las longer

I've wanted to buy a drone forever. No reason, really, just seemed cool. I had a pile of cheap gyro-helicopters and universally crashed them on the first flight. Needless to say, my fear of immediately crashing a $1000 drone was what held me back. When the Mavic was released, I decided to give it a try. It was less $ than previous DJIs and was touted as "easy to fly." I couldn't agree more. My Mavic arrived a few days ago after ordering in October. DJI apparently had a big problem keeping up with the demand. In the meantime I watched 7 million youtube videos and got even more excited. The build quality is equivalent to an apple product. High-end materials, everything just works. Being petrified of crashing, I read and re-read the manuals before flight. It was totally unnecessary, because the Mavic flies itself. Not completely true - I'm glad I read the manual because it gave me a little confidence, but I was still nervous. My first flight was inside my office. I had NEVER flown a "real" quadcopter before, and I was able to guide it around corners, into my colleague's office (sorry Mike), and even up a stairway. The controls are intuitive and seem to respond just as you intend - if you mash the forward, the Mavic rips forward; if you finesse, it crawls. The Mavic is much quieter than I expected. I have seen some Phantoms around, and they sound like weedwhackers. The mavic is a lower hum. Still not sneaky-quiet, but not as offensive as I expected. I could see using this in a crowd (don't because it's dangerous) without people really noticing. The video quality is really good. I have not uploaded anything to my computer for editing, but for a novice I was impressed by the sharpness and color saturation. I am a camera geek so I was a little suspicious of DJI's claims, but my initial take is that the camera is really, really good for the size. I have flown the Mavic 3 times in past day, and tried out the active track, which worked once, didn't work the other time. On that, however, I was standing on icy snow with my back to the bright sun, so the camera was definitely getting blinded. when I tried it in better light it was much easier. The app download was a little confusing - the Apple App store has two versions of DJI GO (3 and 4). Get 4. It works well, and easily. The most recent Mavic user manual from DJI says to get 4, otherwise I would not have known. Again, I have literally never used anything like this, and I was able to get the app synced to the controller/drone and up and running in no time. Overall, this is an absolute must if you're like me and have been holding out or on the fence. I can't wait to bring it along on vacations, or even just in the back yard. My wife has never touched an RC anything and was able to take off, zip around the house, and land with ease. Highly recommended!

I am a beginner so, I find very useful to follow directions, it made the operation go smoother and I felt familiarized quickly. I am still learning but so far I love my drone, I just wish I had more time to play with it.

DJI forces a huge amount of verification just to fly indoors. The process does not seem to work so I am stuck with a non functional piece of equipment. BUY FROM ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS NOT SO RESTRICTIVE.

Best Buy return policy is no longer satisfactory. They have a 3rd party reviewer that is not satisfactory

Having been able to use a model provided by DJI for testing I believe that this is by far the best drone for people who travel or play outdoor sports and need something they can toss into their backpack and go. The camera does a great job with 4K most people should probably shoot in 1080P at 120 fps if they want to get some really cool shots they can edit into slow shots. Compared to the Karma by GoPro, this is a far superior flying platform with tons more advanced features but the GoPro Hero 5 is a much superior camera.

I have had this for a few months now. I have already sent it to the shop for repairs. The drone works good but there is no video feed to my phone.

Great material in both products in the drone is a excellent material and the control is so comfortable but simple, because need a cellphone to see and control your drone.

Drone doesn't fly straight, I was flying in an open grass field only pushing forwards on the stick to fly forwards and it was hard to tell but the drone was slowly lowering it's altitude and hit the ground. Customer service tried telling me the ground level changed. Phone calls would take an hour just to get connected with someone and I had to do this several times because they didn't respond to emails. Took about a month and a half to get a drone repair. Took 3 days and a phone call just to have them send the invoice over so I could pay.. I've dealt with a lot of support/customer service but DJI by FAR has the WORST I have ever experienced. I will never buy anything else from them and would rather buy a GoPro drone or something. They do not deserve anybody's money because they clearly do not care.

Bought for my birthday and unfortunately I spent the day with technical phone line. Faulty software & hardware.
