    DJI requires you to use a terrible application on the Appstore that is very glitchy and not very compatible with the drone. The drones video feed worked for the first month of using it a handful of times. I stopped using the drone for a couple months and when I tried to start it back up the video feed somehow stopped working. I take very good care of the drone and it has never been damaged in any way. I contacted DJI customer service many times (5 to be exact) and no one was able to resolve the issue. I have tried everything they have told me to do but the video feed still does not work. It just shows as a black screen and won't allow me to even take pictures or video. If you are thinking about getting a drone from DJI I recommend you purchase one from a different company. I have a friend that uses the GoPro drone and it has never given him any problems like this. DJI Mavic Pro is a complete waste of money, do NOT buy it.

    I bought my mavic brand new and haven't even flown it yet and am having gimbal problems! Of course it's out of the return policy!

    Alot of issues connecting the drone remote to my phone in remote areas where I bought it to use. Does not allow me to fly in hunting areas where my phone works! I want to return it because I cannot operate in places I bought it to use.

    Out of the box the DJI Mavic worked great as advertised. About three weeks after I purchased it the camera stopped connecting and then it would not take the software update. It also does not recognize the SD card. DJI is back to outsourcing its customer service and Best Buy's says it's past the 14 return period. I guess I just threw away 1000 dollars.

    I wish I read some article about drones before I bought one. Before you by any kind of drone please read the FAA regulations where you can fly it, because it is not like a video cam where you can just go to any parks to fly and record.

    If you were planning on buying his drone, think again! They do not come with a store warranty, they only come with a manufacturer warranty. These drones are fun but when you break them they are costly.

    The one time I got it to fly was fun but it is difficult to get the Drone to work and the documentation is very poor. It till you to down load some stuff but never tells you how to get into the Drone

    My 1st flights experiences with my DJI Mavic

    I have a DJI Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Professional +, Yuneec Typhoon H Pro and Parrot Disco. I am AMAZED.  My Mavic arrived 2 days ago.  No problems at ALL, no requirement for calibration or firmware.  Everything connected flawlessly. First evening I set up all settings and checked it out carefully before powering it up. Then flew cautiously in tripod mode in my house. (I do a lot of interior drone photography).  No problems. Today took it out for its 1st outdoor flight.  Flew at 400' to where with my Phantom and Phantom 4 Professional +, I usually lose video and "reception".  About 1750 feet away, lots of things in the way.  I was shocked to see that the Mavic went more than a  mile away under those same conditions before I lost some video but no controller/reception.  I was so shocked that I'll take my P4P+ out again to see if I'm mistaken or confusing it with performance of my P4. Solid controller signals to 5,880 feet when I decided not to press my luck and sent it home. Overall, the Mavic's stability in hover and gentle movements when required seems better than my P4P+ but I will check that out again. I did have 8 to 10 MPH winds at ground level, gusty, and it was rock solid. Winds at 400' were about 20 mph, which is more than I would chose to fly in. I AM VERY IMPRESSED with "Junior" as I call him/her. That said, this is not a toy. Register it with the FAA and READ THE MANUAL. Get the free B4UFLY app. DOn't just take kt out of the box, turn it on and (try) to fly. This is the best drone I've seen although the camera on the Phantom 4 Professional is better.
