Doesn't fly past a mile with out it starting to fail.

Coming from a Yuneec 4K and to this little beast it is night and day, especially set up and flight! Its fast its small and quick! great camera when set up correctly.

The Mavic initially had long shipping lead times, but once it arrived and I flew it a few times I can honestly say it was worth the wait. Easy to handle, easy to fly, with advanced video options similar to traditional cameras. As others have mentioned, the portability and battery life are amazing - couldn't be happier at this price point.

Ok. I read reviews on every product before I buy. I have been watching mavic pro videos on youtube for over a month getting myself prepared for my purchase. I was happy to show off to my police friends. My from my Chief on down were impressed!!! I made my little drone that could do some amazing things. But 2 days later while admiring my beautiful Mavic pro and began to look how everything was connected to make this drone work. Low and behold on closer inspection the back of the frame on the left hand side had been tightened too much during manufacturing and had a stress point hair line crack from where the screw went in splintering into the leg. Then I took a look at the frame and he had been screwed down so tight that it warped the frame. Heart broken and upset I call Best Buy to see about a replacement and there was none. But they found one for me across the bay. Then I go into my paperwork to look at warranties and look at what I found. Dji refresh card that has to be activated within 48 hours of activating the drone!!!! I'm 8 hours past the 48 hour deadline! So i'm left with no choice but to return the drone. As soon as I activated my replacement I try to activate Dji Refresh because I want to protect this one. And the site keeps rejecting my payment because of and address error. I put every number in my zip code including the last four digits. I go around and around for 2 days with customer svc chat!!!! It was frustrating to no end. I now I have 74 hours to activate refresh but I'm not. I'm going to Take the Mavic Pro back and get the Phantom 4 Professional. Now for the Mavic Review. It's SCARY LOSING SIGHT of this drone. I have gone into full blown panic mode when traveling high and beyond eye site!!! Thank God for return home and set it a height that can clear any potential obstacles. I have mine set at 120 feet. It's responsive and once you get above 200 feet you can barely hear it and at the 300 you hear nothing but ambient noise. Keep in mind you can't zoom in while filming in 4K you can only zoom in 1080P. It's a great first drone but it doesn't meet my needs. I need a drone that can take detailed videos and pictures. This one can but not as good as the Phantom 4 pro. I will be getting another one after I get my P4 Pro just for fun and the easy set up and launch. OH I AMOST FORGOT. The Mavic pro comes in two models. The one with the exposed black wire at the back legs is the first gen. The one with the wire covered is the 2cd gen. ACTIVATE DJI REFRESH AS SOON AS YOU ACTIVATE THIS DRONE!!!!!

Owned the Bebop 2 and Phantom 4 and the Mavic Pro combines the best features of both drones. Highly recommended.

Purchased from best buy in October 2016 and received in December 2016 . Easy to set up and fly and shoots awesome video and pictures . Easy to carry anywhere you travel even with 5 batteries that I have purchased recently including a nice camera bag at best buy.

Bought a mavic and crashed (my own fault) best buy staff was great to serve me when I came to pick up my order, it was supposed to be ready by Thursday but a staff called me and ask me to pick it up on wed. Took the mavic for a ride but end up crashing as I hit the telephone wires or whatever u call it. So the drone has ssensors but it won't detect electrical lines just be aware. I crashed and the gimbal stopped working. Called DJI but no luck dealing with DJI care, they wanted 200 bucks for fixing. I took it to this shop I found on yelp. There's a drone shop with friendly staff and they were glad to help me out with my issues. I had some issues with my gimbal after the crash and I went to these guys are​ drone Aeronautics center. They have been in the drone business even before BestBuy sold any drones. They educated me on every aspects of the mavic. Fixed up my drone and now I'm flying again.. I will definitely buy from best buy again !

I know you may read the title "Great fun for the Price" and wonder what that means since the Drone by itself is $1,000. But if you look at anything near compatible with features it is several hundred dollars more, and doesn't fold up and fit in a jacket pocket. DJI is a China based company, but make no doubt about this company they take pride in their designs and product. The Mavic Pro is a quality drone. Within a few tries I was flying great recording video. Do yourself a favor and purchase the "Fly More Combo" for $1,299 which comes with 2 extra batteries and several accessories you need, the batteries alone are worth the extra money. Also within 48 hours of purchasing the Mavic Pro be sure to purchase the $99 DJI replacement Insurance. Since you are new at flying Drones you will make mistakes and have accidents, the insurance will cover you the first year replacement no matter what you do whether it may be crashing it in water to running over it with your car.

First of all let me just say that this DJI Mavic Pro is NOT a toy. This is photography and videography equipment. And YEAH, it is real fun to fly. So portable you can literally put it in your pocket, cargo pants pocket that is. Take it out in the open (desert) and you can go as far 4.3 miles. It takes breathtaking 4K stabilized videos and 12MP photos. It has obstacle avoidance sensors in the front which makes flying almost worry-free. It has autonomous flight functions so you can concentrate on taking that perfect shot. It's small and portable but it is a beast. Go grab one before it sells out again. Oh and ah have fun and be a responsible flier!! #FlySafe

Such an amazing product. Excellent photo and video quality in such a tiny package. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I would definitely buy the fly more package because the batteries die quickly.

first of all i wouldnt recommend this drone because of the company the makes it. dealing with DJI u must have another drone handy to have fun with it. give DJI about a good month to repair or diagnosis your drone. Everysingle time u call, be prepared to be onlhold for 45minutes on average. This is my story when calling DJI. . . . . . called DJI suport for my mavic pro. drone lost connecting with remote and crashed onto the group. drone was only 3 ft into the air. however the gimbel clear case fell off and the mounting braket on the vibration pad broke so the gimble isnt stable. DJI customer rep told me yesterday on 6/12 i can have the drone shipped to them within 2 business days they will send me shipping label box and bubble wrap to secure the drone and remote controller along with a box. representative tells me go to UPS store and just show them label they will provide you box and bubble wrap. i went there to find out only the shipping label is covered no box or bubble wrap is given out. i had to then rush back home to get a box and secure the package the item. second i told him im leaveing town on 6/23 next friday. will i get the drone back by then. she tell me it take 2 days for them to receive drone. 3 days to diagnosis the drone and for repairs and another 2 days to send drone back to me so i will definantly get the drone before 6/23. i said r u sure, i live in NY im going to Fl on the 23 and i bought this drone specifically for this vacation. she said yes absolutely sir. thank god i wasn't flying up high in the sky where the dront fell into the waters, on on people. i was at the park that current day. there were 1000 kids running all over the place. now as i walk out UPS store i say the label/recipt the ups clerk gave me says ups ground. i said wait a min. this isnt no 2 day shipping. i decided to call UPS they told me its 4-7 business days shipping. i even tracked the shipping it says it will arrive to DJI in CA on 6/19 which is monday. so chances are my vacation will be ruined because of DJI i bought 3 additional batterypacks a $120 bookbag for drone in total i spend $1500 plus tax from DJI to be lied to. i called back and the rep was nice but he says whats done is already done so we have to move forward and he will do everything in his power to get the drone bak to my by the 23rd. \ So chances are if the drone is arriving to the facility on the 19th i prabaly wont get the done back on that friday the 23rd. so i was lied to about the box and bubble wrap. i was lied to about the delivery time for the item to arrive to CA facility within 2 business days. i was potentially lied about getting my drone back to me on the 23rd. friday this drone is only 1 weeks old and used it twice and for it to loose connection to the remote and cause a crash is unexceptable. now my vacation will be ruined because i probably wont have a drone as i had planned since earlier this year. i had planned to buy that drone and save for about 2 months. and now DJI company as a whole has lied to me on top of that. my son is very upset he keeps asking about the drone and it hurt me that i had told him a lie becasue DJI lied to me. I sopke to 2 addition users and they said all they can do is try there best. I NEED MY DRONE BY THE 23RD AS I WAS PROMISSED BY A DJI REP. A NEW UNIT DUE TO THE FAILED COMMUNICATION.

This is an amazing drone! Easy to carry! I suggest to purchase the bundle one that comes with batteries and car charge etc. BTW, if you purchase this one, you should add 2 batteries and at least 2 Propellers for you! Don't ask why, just do it!

Crashed my drone into a tree and it fell in lake and restabilized itself. And had water in sensors so drone hit tree again and fell in water again. So basically dropped it twice within minutes and even though have insurance I was heart broke. Anyways let it dryout in rice bag ziplock inside tupperware and within 24 hrs was flying again with no issues at all. Flown at least couple dozen times a without any issues. Don't recommend anyone do what I did but I can say the mavic pro is awesome and well designed. Don't hesitate if you can afford it, buy it. It is the best thing out there.

This thing flew like a boss right out of the box (after 2 hours of updates, lol). It's a sweet flyer and the photos are not 1/2 bad. I would never use it for professional work. BUT, it you are taking pictures for YOUR business then yes, it's great. Fun to fly in sport mode, she will go go go. If you're serious about shooting for money you have to get 107 certified and get the Mavic Pro2.

Professional quality and performance at good price. Not a toy, has tons of electronics aboard for full control and video capability.

For the most part, I'm having a great time with the Mavic Pro, used primarily for our business, shooting street soccer scenes. A very impressive bird. Though any enjoyment and satisfaction form the aircraft itself is offset by the HORRIBLE follow-up from DJI as well as the rediculously buggy DJO Go 4 App, which crashes at least 2-3x/flight. Always fun to be flying in the blind for those 20-30 seconds until the app decides to re-launch. As for the customer service, the very cheaply made camera cover snapped almost instantly from nothing more than taking it on and off. I asked for a replacement SEVENTY days ago, and I get the most nonsensical responses, written by someone who quite obviously has just learned how to speak/write English in the last few days. I tried over a diozen times to contact Cusomter service in the open case thread before going to the forum yet I still don't have the part, only excuses. What a shame to spend this much and get teased into believing that DJI has their stuff together, when they clearly do not.

Bought the mavic pro about 4 months ago. Easy to use. However, I encourage anyone thinking about buying to call customer service just so they can see how long the delay is with tech support. Also encourage you to look at the mavic forums and notice the issues. Also check your packaging thoroughly when you buy it. Mine came with a cracked gimble cover where the cover clips in. So after 3 months I finally received the replacement cover. . The replacement cover that came was all scuffed up. You would think they would send a nice new cover. It appears their attention to detail is lacking. I suppose if they can't handle an easy task of sending a new, undamaged gimble cover; how many other areas are lacking. Again...please read the mavic forums prior to purchase. When the product works (i.e. compass not out of whack) it works great. However, must take into account the whole ball of wax (tech support, product features, durability, reliability). I have no other drones to compare to at this time.

The Dji mavic pro is good. Nice and compact, the camera is pretty good.
