Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Mavic Pro Quadcopter's ease of use and impressive camera quality, frequently praising its size and stability. However, some users point to the price as a significant drawback, and others mention challenges with wind resistance and occasional software issues. While flight time is generally considered positive, concerns about the drone's sensor limitations and noise level have also been raised.

Great for recreational use, very compact. Has settings for beginners. Totally safe in begninner mode - will not let you fly too high or too far. Bsttery life anazing 30 min! One design flaw: if the iPhone is used as intended one can not get to the phone’s on-off button. I bought a 8” extension (USB-to-lightning) made for this purpose so the phone can be positioned in a better position. The enclosed picture is a “selfie” from my first flight

I love this Drone! It's easy to control. The remote controller is smaller than that of the DJI Phantom line of drones. The video quality may not be as good as the Phantom due to the smaller video sensor. However don't be fooled, the video quality is incredible. The drone's small size, when the legs are folded, allows for greater portability and travel capabilities than the Phantom.

Picked this up right before a trip to Iceland! Had never flown a drone, watched multiple videos and tips for how to operate and for traveling. Very easy to learn and was able to get some amazing shots. Takes time learning the best settings for what works best with gimbal and camera and movement but absolutely no complaints! Would be nice it it at least came with 1 ND filter. If you don't have ND Filters I highly recommend you get some!

I'd started out with a $50.00 UDI drone to lean he basics and how to control it without all the goodies to hold it steady ATTI mode only. After mastering that checked out a bunch of different drones and finally chose the Mavic Pro. Fantastic, compact and flies like dream. And the camera is great to and have gotten some pretty good video for real drone newbe. Camera not as good as the Phantom Pro 4 but for me the light weight and easy to carry were the deciding factors.

I made this purchase after looking at several reviews and talking to other drone owners with the same or different make or model and I could not be happier with my selection. What sealed the deal was being able to see this drone in person and talk to a very knowledgeable salesperson at the store. This drone will not disappoint with capability or quality! The fly more pack lets you get off to a many hours of flying without purchasing additional accessories.

Awesome portable quad! I own a DJI P3 and a Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K, and have flown some friends' DJI P4 and Yuneec Typhoon H, but in my opinion the Mavic is hands down my favorite. Really fun to fly and love the fact that now I can carry around my 4K flying camera without having to lug around bulky cases or insanely huge backpacks (Yuneec Typhoon). If you are looking for a truly portable drone that has lots of features, this is the drone that you are looking for. :-)

I went in to buy a drone thinking I would go for one a bit on the lower end. After talking with the young man in the electronics department, who was very knowledgable on the various models, I ended up purchasing the Mavic Pro. The camera generates excellent photo and video. The range is incredible. GPS signal may drop out if you’re in an area with lots of interference so be sure to set up the ‘Return Home’ function before launching.

I have purchased several drones before, but it was difficult to setup so I ended up returning them. This product out of the box was very easy to setup. I had no issues with setup of getting it up in the air. The drone has amazing video and pics that I didn't think was possible from a device so small. It is easy to carry, small, light weight, easy to setup, the product was awesome! One thing that I recommend is doing the software updates before starting to fly.

I purchased the Mavic Pro as my first drone. It was so easy to fly and very little learning curve involved. I had an issue at first with it and BestBuy in York, Pa took care of the issue.

    Best Travel Drone

DJI still dominates the drone market because they make the best drones. The Mavic, despite its size, makes no compromise to the flying and image quality you expect from DJI. I find this drone to be more useful than the Phantom series since it is so small and easy to travel with. I travel internationally often and carrying around a huge drone case isn't worth it for me, the Mavic can just go in my camera bag, it takes up about the same space as my Bose QC35!

I was very excited when DJI announced that the Mavic Pro would be a folding drone. I do a lot of traveling and the Phantom series are just obnoxious to carry some places. The Mavic fits nicely into my Camera backpack. The Mavic Pro is extremely easy to fly and the controls respond well. I recommend using GPS for maximum control. If you are used to the older Phantoms camera, the Mavics takes a little better longer to get the hang of but gives you more options. The Mavic is also very rugged! Crashed it into a tree (operator error, no rear sensors) and it still flies great. Look forward to an updated Mavic with rear sensors. Hat's off to DJI for another great drone!

I'm in no way an expert flyer, but this drone is just great! It is so easy to fly(had 100$ drone that was 100x harder) and has good quality. Wish they would make a better app for it, the app needs work. And wish it would come with a larger SD card. 16gb fills FAST! I recommnend getting a 96+ gb SD card for sure! Will save you when you're about to get a good shot and then hear that dreaded noise "low memory" :( . Overall, GREAT drone. Totally worth it.

I originally bought the Spark, kept it in its bag because I was unsure of whether to get its big brother or not. It was well worth the trade off. I do not regret buying the Mavic at all.

The Mavic is actually my third drone / quadcopter and I've had it for about a month now. I'd purchased a very cheap Syma drone to see if I liked droning - I mean flying a drone, not going on and on like I am now :) With the cheap Syma it turns out I did not like it at all. It couldn't handle any wind to speak of, the controls were alternately too sensitive and too sluggish, and I have to admit that I lost interest pretty quickly. A few months later a spiffy little thing called the Micro Drone caught my eye. It was much better, though I did manage to bust up eight of the tiny props in the first few days. Despite the littered wreckage of buster props I decided I'd give something a little more substantial a go. Initially I was considering the DJI Spark, but by the time I added the remote control it was close enough in price to the Mavic - which has a much better camera and longer flight time. Flying it could not be easier. Charge the batteries, go outside - the Mavic has two GPS systems to manage its exact position with almost frightening accuracy - do a quick calibration of the inertial movement sensors and compass, connect your phone, and tap the auto take off button in the DJI Go app. The drone takes off and hovers about four feet off the ground waiting for you. Tap the auto land button and it will settle down to the ground on its own. There you go. The first nerve wracking flight is over, now you can concentrate on having fun with it. I tested mine in a local park - a non-State park because Texas state parks are no fly zones - and looking at the video I shot I was hard pressed to believe that it wasn't coming from a tripod because it's perfectly still thanks to the camera gimbal which instantly corrects the image if the Mavic has to deal with a winds. The Mavic is equipped with forward pointing object avoidance sensors to help keep you from crashing. There's a pair of downward facing sensors to aid in return to home and auto landing. Through the DJI Go app you can activate several "Intelligent Flight Modes" which include "Follow" - the ability to select a person or object and have the drone follow them, "Orbit" - the ability to have the drone fly a circle around a person or object, "Terrain Tracking" - keep the drone at a specific distance from the ground as it flies, and a bunch more. I sound like a sales pitch I know, but I really love this thing. There's a huge online community where you can find tons of suggestions, tutorials, and technical assistance, plus just tons of beautiful videos shot from Mavics.
